  1. In high school I drove a 74 super beetle with a 1600 dual port that I could chirp the tires going into third.
  2. I guess in both cases the just rewards were granted. I can think of nothing better than a Klan member being shot in the head.(especially if the wound is fatal) Seeing a woman cop being stuck in such an embarassing situation gives me a warm feeling inside. :flamedevil: I have never been given a break or benefit of doubt by a female officer.
  3. I`ve got some pics of my frame ties in my photo gallery. Also.. if you search, you will find a previous post where I describe exactly what was involved. I don`t really have enough time to go into it right now.
  4. To use a 283 crank in a 327 block to make a destroked 302, you will need to use the early small journal 327 block. On the other hand... IF you want to make a large journal 327, you should use any year 350 block and a 327 large journal crank, OR the cheaper option would be to use a 307 crank. They are not widely recognized as having the same stroke as well as rod and main journal dimensions as the 327.
  5. I`m 35, but I feel like I`m over 50 with all the aches and pains that I have already.
  6. They look similiar to the lights on my wifes MGB. Do you know if they would interchange?
  7. Unless you arer getting some good aftermarket heads and matching intake included for that price, I think it`s a little high. A 350 long block with stock cast iron heads and cast flat top pistons can be had for 900.00 to 1500.00 depending on where and how much you shop around. Obviously the price will go up depending on what upgrades you decide to make, such as... Forged pistons, roller rockers, roller cam/lifters,aftermaket heads, timing set,oil pan size/style/volume,and what type of machine work you opt for,ie.(balancing, decking, boring, milling, polishing, port matching, ect.
  8. If you really want durability and reliability from your engine, I recommend building the engine to consistently handle whatever your maximum hp will be. I would at the very least run forged pistons, and would recommend good aftermarket rods and a forged crank as extra insurance. It`s better to be overbuilt than underbuilt
  9. Since it is separetely owned and operated, you will have to register separetely for the helpers list. It`s the same process as registering for this site. Thanks for the Sticky Tim.
  10. I`m not sure exactly why the helpers list hasn`t been more integrated or more widely used by our members. I guess it`s not a commonly offered fringe on other forums, so people don`t think about it. I personally would love to see at least one contact/helper in every region listed on the helpers list. this would make the list MUCH more convienient. Here is the original thread on the Helpers List. http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=17941&highlight=helpers
  11. My vote goes to the Can Am car that does three back flips, before landing a$$ first in the woods. I can`t imagine what was going through the drivers head at the time. :
  12. The helpers list is a separate entity that is maintained and owned by one of our members. You will have to sign in and log in separetely,Mostly for security reasons.
  13. I guess it`s a good thing that no fellow z`ers have had trouble in your area. Or maybe only a few have traveled through your area. I think the helpers list would get alot more traffic if there was a direct link on our home page. I know Jim has suggested this a few times ,but I think it has just gone under the radar when ugrades and updates have been made to the site. The helpers list could also be used as a contact list, to be used to plan small detours when traveling. It would be a great recource to help us get to know each other on a more personal (face to face) basis.
  14. David Visard touches on this subject in his book, "How to build Horsepower" He specifically talks about the intake manifold gaskets with screens in them, and the benefits of fuel atomization. I don`t recall his mentioning any adverse effects or air restrictions. I`ll read up on it this weekend and post his specific comments.
  15. On my q45 vlsd, both wheels turn in the same direction.
  16. New paint is an excellent motivator.
  17. Mikelly wrote, "I personally prefer MUCH higher quality in my porn... Mike" No arguement here.
  18. Are you positive that your fuel pump is flowing in the correct direction?
  19. I did finally get to view the 2.5 min clip and it was just what I expected. If you have ever seen her on E or celebrities uncencored, this is pretty much the same thing. She is the type that always has to play and pose for the camera. Almost like a body builder poses and flexes in the mirror. I have heard her comment many times about how HOT her and her sister are. In the video she spends so much time looking into the camera and trying to make gratuitous poses that almost all of the eroticism is lost. It`s like watching a porno with out editing out the directors voice. What most have perceived to be drug induced delierium, is what she is like anytime she thinks a camera is watching. If it weren`t for their last names they would most likly be porn stars, strippers or prostitutes.
  20. I thought it was just a natural progression in conversation about one group of self absorbed rich girls to another. None of which has any idea what the real world is like, outside of there glass house where their every whim is catered to. Sorry, but this is pretty much how a conversation goes with someone that has a touch of ADD. It NEVER stays on the original subject
  21. The stock isolators are supposed to have a concave washer on top to keep them from pulling thru. When you replace them be sure to intall the washers, Or better yet use larger diameter and thicker washers next time.(that`s what I`ve got)
  22. regional help topics such as this could be added to the hybridz helpers website. http://hybridz.jimzdat.com/forum/ Since all of the states and provinces are already listed, it would only make sense to list your favorite or most reputable salvage yards, parts store, and repair facilities. This is also a good oportunity for me to put in a plug for the helpers list. You would think that with the membership numbers we have here, more people would be willing to join the helpers list. It seems everyone is willing to put in there .02 but only a few are willing to get their hands dirty for a fellow Z`er.
  23. Just be happy the mirror broke without damaging the door or the paint.
  24. No clues about Mudge. He just kinda faded away...or maybe has somthing else going on. his last post was Oct 28,03
