    MAN That really sounds disgusting.
  2. It`s probably been at least 5k or so. That would be nice, or maybe a bad sending unit.
  3. For some reason my truck seems to have lost oil pressure. It usually runs about 60psi at speed, and 40-45 @ idle. I made a last minute trip to advance tonight and had perfect oil pressure when I left the house, but on the way home while sitting at a traffic light the guage read 5psi. I pulled in to the fist parking lot and checked the oil (710) level. and was only down 1/2 qt. I looked under the truck and didn`t see any oil leaks. I`m gonna put a mechanical guage on it tommorrow to see what is really up.
  4. My neighbor has a 2002 F250 with the 7.3 powerstroke. He added a chip, adjustable wastegate,K&N cold air intake, and 4" exhaust with a hollowed out muffler. He`s never had it on a dyno but he says it`ll pull his 35' fifth wheel @ 60+mph up some of the steepest grades in the rockies without loading up. BTW... he`s been through 3 transmissions,4 torque converters, and two Dana 80 rear ends. The truck looks and sounds great. His only complaint is that the rest of the truck can`t handle the engine.

Did you notice the white car with the RED graphics?
  6. I`ve used the mightyvac too, but I`ve had problems on rear wheel cylinders and slave cylinders with drawing in air past the cups. This isn`t all the time but it HAS happened more than once. I do have a one man bleeder hose that has a check valve in one end and a grommet that goes over the bleeder screw. It works well as long as the bleeder screw is large enough to make a good seal. If these two methods don`t work, I can usually gravity bleed by opening the screw farthest from the master cyl and waiting until the fluid runs clear with no air bubbles.
  7. 10.00 each sounds pretty reasonable considering the time that they save.
  8. Sounds like alot of fun. If I were single,(and 15 yrs younger) I would consider doing something similiar. One suggestion, Bring a copy of phone#`s and email address`s from the "Helpers list" with you. http://hybridz.jimzdat.com/forum/
  9. Take a look at the big "3" on his black t-shirt. Looks to me like he was crawling out the back window to meet "Dale"
  10. They have a new "Southern Chopper" show on Discovery channel. They show alot of detail, but way too much theatrics from the cast. Maybe they`ll settle in and act more natural after a few episodes.
  11. Back in the mid 80`s the cops were MUCH more likely to give warnings than now. When I first got my DL, I was the kind of driver that I hope my kids won`t be.(mostly for their own safety) If I had to go someplace more than 5 miles away, you could bet that I would hit 100mph on the way. I can sit back with friends and laugh about the things that we did, But I pray to God that my kids don`t do the same things. I don`t have enough time to go into detail of all of the tickets and warnings I recieved, not to mention the times that I ran and got away. Here`s a little summary... By 18 I had lost my dl 3 separate times, had 32 points against me @2 and 4 pts depending on the violation, Was stopped by 4 sherrifs cruizers and 3 city cops all at the same time, and my favorite past time was getting drunk, cranking some tunes, and jumping railroad tracks.(simulainiously)
  12. It was 13* here yesterday and my Grandpa had to call and tell me how nice it is in Sebring, Fla. I guess it was 70* yesterday afternoon. I might just go to the SEZ meet just to hang out in some decent weather.
  13. I have to agree. That is the nicest rear view of a ZX that I have EVER seen.
  14. Mike, It really sucks that you can`t track down Les. It`s almost like he dropped off the edge of the earth. You would think SOMEONE would know how to find him.
  15. I received three returned emails early this morning that were said to contain virus`s
  16. I got a couple today as well. my ISP quarentined them so I`m not sure who they were from. We had a rash of this a year or so ago.
  17. The only reason I`m not building a TT383 is that I would like to have my car running this summer. Once I have the car finished I will most likely start on a TT350 to put in at a later date. I`ve already finished one car that I didn`t really get to drive. I`m getting real anxious to get one together and drive it for awhile.
  18. For future reference, What cars come with the svo injectors? and what is the usefull purpose of them? I would like to know what to look for if I happen to stumble on some that someone here might need.
  19. Jon For you to have such a problem with super heated water, your water must have a very low total disolved solids(TDS)level. Our city water has so much crap in it, i doubt i would ever have that problem. BTW... Certified water tratment technician is just one entry on my very long resume`
  20. Microwaves do not produce radiation. They have a magnatron that is basically a small radio transmitter that bombards the water in the object to be cooked with sound waves. These sound waves cause the molecules in the water to move back and forth across each other at very high speed. This causes friction that generates heat to cook the food. I saw it on Mythbusters last night.
  21. You could also have a plugged vent hole in your fill cap. Try loosening the cap if the problem persists.
  22. Sorry for the overgeneralization. I`m sure everyone has to start somewhere. I guess my comment is more directed to the "career oil changer" 1/4 of a qt. over shouldn`t be a problem. In fact 1 full qt shouldn`t cause any problems, but better safe than sorry.
  23. If you have the parts bead blasted ahead of time and paint them with high temp paint, i don`t see why it shouldn`t hold up indefinetely. The most important thing to remember when painting is to have everything perfectly clean. Paint will not stick to oil, dirt or grease. Not only does bead blasting clean the parts, but it also gives the paint a nice "tooth" to adhere to.
