  1. It was taken in the parking lot of my town home complex in Tampa, FL...why, is there another z with those wheels on it somewhere? I've never seen or heard of another set anywere around here...
  2. Have you got a particular TPS in mind, or just TPS's in general?
  3. I've got a datsun jacket too, but mines a little more emo: that's me and my datsun jacket in mexico for our honeymoon...my wife is in there too on the right.
  4. 616 means that we get to have the day of the beast every year on 6-16! that makes reason number 666 to have a party!
  5. Don't worry AKWIKZ, I don't hate you THAT much...
  6. that's kind of where I was going with that too...
  7. I bought my tokico 1" drop and strut combo off of ebay, don't remember if it's the same seller or not, but the price is about the same as I paid. I'm very happy with it, it came with everything I needed in one box, even those big nuts that hold the cartridge in the strut housings. I didn't need to section them either. I'm really happy with the stance and ride of my car, too. here's a pic: *edit* I just looked at the auction and saw this was for the adjustable struts, but mine are the NON-adjustables which should be cheaper...
  8. I was just joking, I agree that it's expedient to refer to wikipedia, but in my mind I just picture some 14 year old (looks like comic book guy from the simpsons, but younger in my imagination) that may or may not know what they are talking about making up information and typing it in, and now that it's online, it has credibility...at least on hybrid z, we've got a built in BS detector in the form of people who have real experience with what they are talking about and can put the smack down on those who chime in with suspect information. Peer evaluation before publication, so to speak. (also, isn't funny how the brain works? Maybe it's just me, but since I don't know anybody on this site outside of the forums, I have to associate people's avatars with how I imagine them to look...Grumpyvette's old one of the cowboy with the blade of grass sticking out of his mouth was so perfect for the tone of his comments, I was sad when he changed it...)
  9. AKWIKZ, I just saw your 71 looked in your signature......I think I hate you too....
  10. I'll give it up for slayer still rocking hard, but I have to draw the line at that punk cover album they did a few years back...they did a ton of minor threat songs, and they just didn't sound the same as the originals, but in a bad way...
  11. Of course i win the guessing game, I was the one that posted the darn thing in the first place...Jmortenson, I'm thinking you should get your member status changed to "Wikipedia Overlord" haha, you live on that site dude...something about the lack of any real fact verification bothers me a little bit though, so I can't fully get behind it. "Welcome to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that ANYONE can edit..."
  12. Man, are s20's so common over there that they are using them for boat anchors? I'm sure they don't look like that when you're done with them, but they sure look neglected in those pics...
  13. I personally feel that engines are designed to be run, and sitting unused for any significant length of time is not the greatest thing for them. I'm not saying abused, but engines need to be run every once in awhile...If I found an engine like that, in that shape, I'd be afraid to try and turn it over without some kind of refurbishment...
  14. hey driftz240, what ever happened to the formula D special edition 240 you were building? that was you, wasn't it?
  15. wow, you guys need to get out more...that's clearly a boss 351 mustang...
  16. Dang, that's a lot of oxidation on those engines in the top two pics, did they salvage them off the Yamato?! Guess I don't have room to talk, my engine looked like that too when I got it, but you would think something as uncommon as those engines would be kept up a bit more...
  17. I had a similar problem during my 4-speed 260z tranny to '78 5-speed swap. After taking off the 4-speed, the slave cylinder would not fit even when fully compressed. It turns out that the clutch fork was binding up on the pivot ball, and I ended up switching out the entire clutch fork, and then the slave cylinder had no problems mounting up. I guess that little wire clip that holds the fork onto the pivot ball was worn out on mine, and needed to be replaced. Of course I'm using a stock flywheel and factory style aftermarket clutch stuff, so I'm not able to render an opinion on the fidanza situation. (my only experience with fidanza is on my friend's 98 sentra turbo: the flywheel rattles on startup like there is a bolt loose or something but was professionally installed, and his ecu is throwing some kind of code because of a related sensor that the fidanza flywheel isn't interacting with in the same way the stock one did. off topic i know, but it's sort of colored my opinion of fidanza a little bit)
  18. here's some more highlights: 1,200,000 united kingdom pounds... here's one of my favorites, a 1979 ac (makers of the cobra) 3000 twin turbo: and for the ultimate in WTF!? goodness, i present this: let's see them drive THAT in the fast and the furious, tokyo drift...
  19. "IIIIIsskkkkkoooonnnneeee, come out and play-yay...." dude, a warriors jacket would be hot...
  20. how many s12's can one person drive?
  21. they seem to work off of a consignment basis, so I don't think that they are making much more than the cost of the adds people place. That may explain the poor production quality of the site...
  22. anybody familiar with www.race-cars.com? you can buy old race cars/parts/trailers whatever, and here are a few highlights: For the low price of $35,000 us, you could own the 1994 SCCA GT4 national champion toyota tercel... or parts to turn your vg30 into a 750-1000hp electromitive gtp engine... or an ilmor cheverolet 265 indy motor... 100,000 euro? or for$30,500 us you could have this, just without the turbo...
  23. mtcookson, are you describing some kind of centrifugal clutch, like the way those mini-chopper motorcycles work?
  24. My automatic made a really nice JDM doorstop...I found it to be particularly useful for trading in as a core on my 4 speed 260z tranny, thus saving me an extremely rare (for me anyway) $50 bill....
