I thought Danica Patrick drove a Formula car? Guess I'm out of the loop...I was thinking more of a trackside scene, not a garage scene, so I probably won't do the V-8, but I was thinking Mini Cooper as well.

Been awhile, but I'm finally working on a new one. Sorry all you Barbie Ken tea party fans, I just couldn't work up the motivation for that one. This one is coming nicely in my opinion, but is nowhere near complete. All girl racing team was as close to girly as I could get this week...my wife says it's not girly enough. Anyway, anybody have an opinion? There are going to be more girls, and more stuff. Probably one or two more cars in the background. Any requests? I was thinking of an Alfa...

Maybe it's a southern thing then, a southern thing that wraps around Georgia...

Now THIS is what the new Z car should have been!

Gollum, If that's the case, we'll all be driving AE86 carollas again in a few years...Maybe we'll get lucky with this new Wangan Midnight cartoon sparking some interest in some nice cars... Paul, I'll let it slide this time buddy, but as soon as I find some Energon cubes, the whole state of Oregon is going to get trampled under my giant robot foot! (except rontyler's house, he's still cool.) And as far as modern cars looking like transformers, Transformers were designed to look like the cars of the day, so I don't know how much I agree with that. Look at the Gen I MR-2, the Celica Supra, the Starion, even the Z31. the chunky building block styling of most cars that came from Japan in the 80's just screamed out "make a toy out of me that turns into something!" -

Paul, I'm going to assume that's the painkillers from your car accident talking...Maybe you were thinking of Go-bots, now THAT was a crappy cartoon! I can get behind the Looney Tunes, but I can't accept Tom and Jerry as viable entertainment...that's right down there with The Flintstones and the Pink Panther on the list of things that are just BARELY better than having your gums scraped at the dentist... I was thinking this car looked a lot like an old TVR, but I don't understand why the ENTIRE z community is screaming for a lightweight minimalist retro Z, and Nissan just refuses to deliver...Other manufacturers seem able to do it, so it's not that it can't be done. -
You've never heard of "being thrown under the bus?" It means that somebody made you a scapegoat. When somebody reveals something about you that you would probably rather have not had them reveal (Usually in order to displace blame or attention from themselves), you say "Dude, you just threw me under the bus!" Maybe it's a florida thing...anyway, that was a fictional coversation between me and you, not from a movie. And also not to be taken seriously...

If they were slick they'd just eat the beans themselves, or have their kids do it...

Don't let ricers get ahold of your american car or else

Somebody needs to leave that guy a sticky note explaining EXACTLY why his car sucks in itemized bullet point format on his windshield... -
Eleventy five hundred dollars could buy a LOT of polish for my car...
-
OTM: "Hey guys, does anybody else hear that?" us: "Hear what?" OTM: "kinda sounds like a bus...*POW*" Max: "he tripped! You guys all saw that, I was way over here, I definitely didn't just throw him under the bus!" Don't worry OTM, all the good ideas were yours anyway (except the alien paint job, I'm still claiming that one)
-
-
Don't sweat it Sven! I usually just tell OTM he's stealing my ideas, mostly because I think he is...you gotta watch that OTM, he's a crafty one...Usually the only time I'll do that is if there was some sort of PMing going on behind the scenes that doesn't get mentioned during the great idea reveal, but even then it doesn't bother me, it's still all in good fun!

there was a thread going about this not too long ago, but it kind of fell by the wayside...

You: "Nice cubs, hey babe, take my picture!" Mama bear: "Nice hand, think I'll take it! Rar!"

Don't worry Jon, in another two months, Mike and I will have passed you by at least two posts!

Paul, I'm glad you're ok! Car accidents are never fun...Did insurance give you the big time settlement check? Time for that Charger R/T so you can get some more hemi burnouts going! -
No prob! the Mull-mobile is one of those legendary cars around here, like the darius car (at least for me...) just because you've got SO much work in it it boggles the mind. Any assistance is the least I can do.

Yeah, it would be much safer to put a rear spoiler on the back then to make the front end light at speed. The later countaches had so many spoilers and gills they look like characatures of themselves...

It was here in Tampa, FL. I think it must be something about this branch. They were making everybody work mandatory 30hrs overtime when she was leaving. Not too many of her work friends were enjoying their jobs, most of them have gone on to other things also. They would give my wife a hard time for being 2 or three minutes late to work, her manager tried to write her up for it. Then they started giving her a hard time for coming back from lunch 5 minutes early. They had her emailing the VP of her department literally every time she left and came back to her desk (bathroom breaks included). Nobody else in the department was getting that treatment. There was one day that her manager tried to tell the VP that my wife was late again, but this manager was actually an hour late that day, so how would she know one way or the other? Very wierd. Anyway, it took HR almost two months to acknowledge that they'd even been contacted, and by that time she'd found another job. Anyway, sorry to sidetrack your thread!

Marduke, my wife worked for countrywide until just recently...I hope that your experience there is better than hers. She'd come home upset to the point of tears every day, and it got so bad we had to open up a discrimination claim with human resources...she left there and works at Indymac now.

Ernie, that's the picture! I saw it in your photogallery while I was at work (for some reason, they've blocked the forums, but not the gallery or the classifieds, so I log in to see if I've got any PMs every so often)! Now I just need to find the second gen MR-2 front spoiler, and we're in business...I like how they mounted that on the countach though, right through the valence into what one assumes is the crash bumper (did it even have one?). Looks like it has some kind of quick release deals on it too, like a hood pin type device.

Hey Mull, I don't know how wide your flares are, but I had another idea while drawing out the suggestion from my previous post: why not put the turbine intake detail on the leading edge of the rear flare? you could get a piece of sheet aluminum and rivet it onto the dogleg there like a heat shield just in front of the "intake". That's the upper portion of this drawing, the lower is how it might look if you moved the intake graphic forward like I suggested before. Also, something I've learned about having a "theme" car: driving a theme car is like wearing leather pants. You may look good in them, but if you don't wear THEM, they'll be wearing YOU...if that makes any sense? you've got to be ready for the looks (cell phone camera pics: "so and so will never believe THIS!") and the conversations through the window at every other stop light. I got a lot of that with the Veritech paint scheme, and I had a nice chat with some board members of the home owner's association here about my stenciled on "danger: flammable" graphic by the fuel filler door (even though I've got a fuel cell in the trunk...I've since smoothed out the door altogether). Also, my www.rbmotoring.com license plate frame that came with my wheels once got me a chase down from a kid in a honda civic to ask what motor was in the car. I really wanted to try and shout that to him at 80mph on the highway... I think the hood needs something, I'm thinking that I'll be getting a carbon fiber hood at some point, and I'd like to rivet on some aluminum louvers like these: I can't decide if I want one wide like that either on the power bulge or just in front, or if I want two long single strips to run down either side of the bulge. I'm leaning toward the latter. Also, you are welcome to use or ridicule these suggestions as you see fit, I'm just throwing them out there for what their worth.

I feel a guitar hero rock video coming on! I just got mine started on the base code as well! Runs like garbage, but I drove it a mile to put gas in it! I'm going to try and fool with it today, I'm sure it's running super rich. I'm going to try to fiddle with BRAAP's settings that he posted in his classified, since his was NA too. -
My uncle lived in Plano years ago, we went to visit him when I was younger. Seemed like when they took us around, they drove us in to Dallas to show us the sights since at the time it wasn't all that built up. I imagine it's pretty different now though. I remember liking Texas, and Plano seemed nice enough.
