  1. Congrats!!!!!!! I've got 13 month old twins, still don't know what a good nights sleep feels like. That's cool though I'll have two helpers in the garage one day:mrgreen:
  2. Get what done haha, if memory serves me correctly didn't you have a car painted then sold? Stinks I haven't touched my project Z since May of 05 but I've got goodies gathering for her. Need to pull the engine after I finish up the suspension build on the Scarab then get "serious" about the HybridZ again. Dreams of a 383 stroker, Holley EFI, Nitrous, wheels, flairs, paint, Sparco's......
  3. I've been here since Feb 2000 and remember the old forum. I'm not a 1000+ poster, I read much more than I post and have found this to be the best forum on the web. No BS no drama. Originally I wanted to build a kit Cobra but didn't have the funds. I wound up with a 280 rust bucket which I began to work on then pitched it aside for my 73 240 (still under construction). Back in 2004 I bought a finished Factory Five Cobra it was fun but I found out that I really dont love convertibles. So it was sold and I picked up the original Scarb. So now I have two V-8 cars and will be here for some years to come. Hats off to our founders and all the knowledgeable, helpful members that has ever been posted here!!!!
  4. You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaraunt
  5. "Someone" burned the house down? What's up with that? Arson?
  6. What are you looking for? Post a pic, in the correct forum. One post? Careful.
  7. Guess that makes my 17x7 Azteks worth more though!
  8. Ordering a set of what wheels the Team3? May want to check with them on delivery dates, may be Feb. before you get them. Keep us posted on how the transaction goes!
  9. My question is... Why the heck would you need a rear view mirror in a golf cart???
  10. Time for a Z "yard sale" You may want to read over this too http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=106442
  11. Darn my car didn't make the cover from the last minute request over at classic Z car.
  12. I'm sorry but I have to say screw Courtesy, every time I've "tried" to talk to them about simple 240Z parts the person on the other end comes across with a IDGAF attitude, hence I'll do business elsewhere and here is where I'll be going for Nissan parts. LynchburgNissanParts [parts@lynchburgnissan.com] E-mail Riley, he lurks here at Hybridz. In just an inquiry on some parts he was VERY helpful!!! On the tie rod ends you may or may not need the inner ends, part that connects to the steering rack. I'd also go ahead and replace the rubber boots. Be sure to get a pickel fork to seperate the parts and a spring compressor, both avalible on the loan a tool program from Auto Zone. You can go to Autozone.com to get the part numbers sorry don't have time to get them right now. Dont for get to check your wheel bearings, steering/strut bearings, etc. Lots of little things can trip you up and delay your efforts. I'm doing my my front suspension right now so I speak from experience.Qty. Item Description Part No. Avail.Core ValueUnit PriceSub
  13. Auto Zone can get you good quality ball joints and tie rod ends, I'll get you part numbers. For a poly bushing kit Summit has the best price that I have found. G machine TC rod kit Black Dragon. Beware of the stuff on e-bay most of it is over priced on shipping. If you want genuine Datsun Parts I'd go with this dealer over in TN, real easy to deal with, I'll update the info tomorrow as it's on my work computer and I'm at home. Are you replacing the springs and struts too? Best price on a Tokico kit is the guy on E-bay, again I'll post the contact info tomorrow, guess I kinda suck when I'm at home ha-ha.
  14. Working on Suspension Ceramic coating headers General clean up of the underside of the car UPDATE: Before lots of cleaning to do!!! Before teardown Reason for rebuild!!! Suspension parts soaking in oven cleaner. Exhaust cleaned up ready for paint. POR-15 high heat velvet coat for exhaust. FIA brake caliper before: had to rebuild the entire units new seals, clean out rust corrosion replaced one piston. Caliper after, coated with POR15 Metal Magic, looks better in person. Finished product (headers coated by Nitroplate)
  15. As far as your 240 is concerned look into Hagerty for speciality car insurance.
  16. Like I said give them a call. Jin is easy to talk to and she is a stickler for customer satisfaction. She was telling me about a set of wheels a customer was not happy with and they are going above and beyond to make this guy happy with his purchase. I'd love to order a set ASAP but alas I think I've finally figured out what I want to do with my 240z now. Current set up is a carbed 350 roller, WC T-5. I want to go EFI, 383 full roller, T-56. Small stuff (size wise) is easy to get into the house but an engine block and tranny. Hmmmmm.
  17. Eppy where in Arkansas are you? I'm in the NW corner, Rogers/Bentonville area, dat240z is up here too. PM me or reply.
  18. Sorry for the slow follow up, they are more than willing to answer questions if you give them a call. Wheels are sand cast centers so they are weighty about 20lbs/wheel. Lip is polished. I've requested pics from them of the production process and will hopefully have something to post here soon.
  19. Go look on e-bay or the classifieds here, get one already done/started you'll be miles ahead!!!
  20. True, true. Matching rear gear ratio to transmission gears, tire size, and desired RPM is the best approach to take. Searching here and the WWW you'll be able to make a solid decision on what works best with you combination. Or just slap in a set of 3.36's j/k. I can tell you what doesn't work too well is 3.90's with a T-5 for the street (350 engine car), but for a short track or tight twisty road works out pretty well not much gear shifting working the within the power band of the engine
  21. From the sticky R200 long nose, 280Z, 280ZX, 300ZX Ratios 3.36, 3.545, 3.70, 3.90 LSD April 1987 and newer turbo Appears that differently equiped cars came with different gear ratios. MT vs. AT, turbo etc.
  22. I've got a 3.36 in the Scarab and don't really find the gear set that amazing. (sorry not for sale) Scarab is coupled with a 4 speed manual, sure it has top end, but low end grunt is not up to my expectations, no big deal I've always got the JTR car for that.
