  1. Me+snakes= seeeeee ya Oh I see the dash cap now!!!!
  2. Custom hood, not installed just sitting there... Old skool side mouldings uck. Side mouldings going bye bye... Twin Z's
  3. More info please. Year, tire size, wheel size.
  4. I've got the orange one in my office here at work. I looked high and low too for a Z-toy and when I found it I was elated. Just wish I could have found a different color, oh well.
  5. Shoot me a PM, 10W60 that's an odd ball most Bimmers spec the 5W20 (we are the OEM supplier to BMW) as far as the M being that much different IDK. But as I said 10-60 is not even something I've seen flow through the office.
  6. My point is that initially it wasn’t a “custom†wheel. From what I understood they had the centers drilled to the Z car lug pattern but no customers were buying (save for Motorsports) thus they went on the “close out†list. Somebody from the board contacted them (Centerline) and Nicole started working with us and came up with this solution (a wheel that will fit a Z). Second two years ago they wouldn’t make the wheels wider than 7†due to safety concerns (from what I understood at the time). Then low and behold NAZAR posts up that they’ll go 9.5†OK yeah that’s “custom†size (width) but the centers are still the same. I guess my point is that 2.5†of additional billet do not justify a 130% price increase in my book. It’s like they accidentally fell into a niche market and are now exploiting us. I’m NOT saying there is another company out there that is going to put together a wheel of this quality OR match the $300 +/- price tag. It’s just disappointing to see that huge of a price jump. I guess everybody can go ahead and get really pissed at me now for telling you all who I work for……BP, Castrol Oil division. No I do not have control over gas/oil prices, but they are coming down so lets be thankful for that. Everybody have a great Friday!!!!
  7. Tyson, Your right for a "custom" wheel....price is what I'm talking about the price jump is outragous. That same wheel back in July was $200 now over $300 and it's going to be discontunued? When Nicole (she was even a member here giving out info for us) started this "special wheel for the Z community" the widest they quoted me they would go was 7". You can read up on the rest of the story. I still like the wheel but just cannot stomach the price increase in just 60 days. Call me what you want but Centerline is out of line on this one, sorry.
  8. Yeah we used to her name was Nicole, she was alway patient and VERY helpful, easy to deal with. These two new guys the one I spoke with was very "curt" and "short" with me. I didn't really care for his attitued. I used to hold Centerline in high regards, not anymore after THAT kind of price increase (we thought MS was bad haha) and the attitude, think I'll look else where.
  9. I don't think I'd cut up "that" original of a car. Granted I'm NOT a purist but the 1970 models that are in good restoreable condition should be restored. Just my opinion.
  10. Well guess you covered it all!!! I didn't want to go into all that detail but you are dead on in every aspect of the G35, I love mine too although it's not an X model,( couldn't quite swing that one) but it does have the MT6, the window feature on the fob took me a while to figure out (had an 96 Maxima that did the same thing and was wondering why they did away with this feature...)they didn't I wasn't holding the button down long enough, and the one touch switch windows, I love that no more messing around with switches longer than you have too. My only other choice would be an 06 Hemi Charger, plenty of power and interior room but not quite as "tossable" as the G, the Charger feels heavy IMO.
  11. BTW our EXTREMELY helpful Nicole at Centerline Wheels is no longer with the company Just got off the phone with Centerline (I'm pricing Venturas 17x 9.5 5"bs) I was quoted $346/wheel!!!! I bought a set of Azteks from them 2.5 years ago for $150/ wheel in 17X7 4"bs. Shezzz $1384 for a set of Centerlines on their "close out list" Damn!
  12. I picked up a used Infiniti 2004 G35 sedan with a 6 speed manual. Rear wheel drive with lot's-o-options. The car is a blast to drive, go test drive one, or a newer Infiniti think they are the 45 series now or something.
  13. Water, water, water. If you have a pressure washer I'd give it a blast from a bit of a distance. Initial wash, a bucket filled with (I know I'm going to get flamed for this) water and Dawn dishwahing liquid, Dawn gets grease out of it's way (sm) I also like to use microfiber towles on my cars, no they don't scratch the paint. Start at the the roof, water, wash rinse, then move on to rear hatch (if hatch vents I'd duct tape over them) wash the hatch area. Just wash one panel at a time. Also dump out and start with clean water/soap every so often, other wise you're just washing with 50,000 grit sand paper suspended dirt and debris. Don't wash the wheels while washing the car wash them last and use a good brake dust remover (I prefer Eagle One) Dry the car with a terry cloth towles, you know the ones your wife has hanging in the bathroom for company (haha). Be sure to wipe down door jambs etc, I like to use a little windex and paper towlels for this due to hidden grease etc. On the Scarab with its vented hood I have to cover the engine or it get's a bath too, not pretty when you're trying to keep it nice and clean too.
  14. I've got a 3.36 in the Scarab and don't care for it at all. Granted I have a 4 speed Muncy in the car but the car is a slug stop light to stop light. The 3.70LSD in the JTR car hauls ballz though. Unless you're wanting a TOP SPEED car I wouldn't run it. I'm sure there is somebody out there looking for one so it's worth as much as somebody is willing to pay for it. I'd say since it is an aftermarket only part, depending on condition $500 to $800 since 3.7 LSD's are going for $500++ now. Just my crazy thoughts though.
  15. Don't know if this would work or not but how about a drive shaft brake? Yeah it would take some fabbing but would be workable since the drive shaft would only have to be held (thightly) by some type of a 360 degree (or so) clamp, which could be actuated by the original brake handle. I've got the picture in my head but it's hard to explain. One section is permanantly mounted "C" shaped the moveable part would be spring loaded cable actuated to grip the drive shaft. Provided the springs that hold the DS are stiff enough the DS wouldn't need any type material added to it or spline the DS and the "catch pad". Or maybe I just don't know what I'm thinking. I have seen this done with disk brakes on a drive shaft though.
  16. Where does the NAWS (j/k) come in? I don't think I'd start with a 150 shot. Go 50/75/100/125/150. Keeping a CLOSE eye on fuel pressure and reading the plugs after each run. Test and tune don't just go and blow!!!
