  1. More info on those valves: http://datsunspirit.com/?p=1494 I'm not sure what your goals are, but it sounds like you're not doing anything crazy, so you probably have no use for those valves. You'd probably benefit more from a good port/polish.
  2. Hrm. Automatic? Interesting choice. You gonna put in some paddle shifters? That'd be a blast to drive.
  3. Lol. I'd pay $500, tops. It amazes me how many sellers out there don't bother to do ANY research on the piece they're selling, or the market.
  4. I'd buy it for $350, but I'd strip it for parts. Doesn't sound like it's worth fixing (if it is, I've got a car to sell you).
  5. That's where I'm at with mine. It simply has too much rust to fix, but it's still solid enough to drive. Figure I'll have fun driving it into the ground until I can find a clean chassis.
  6. I don't remember who, but I've read of someone here doing that. Custom ordered pieces from TTT with the mounting holes for the hub moved back a little bit.
  7. ^ The RHDJapan flares are made by Marugen Shoukai http://www.rhdjapan.com/marugen-shoukai-wide-over-fenders-zg-wide-type-nissan-s30-s31.html
  8. A full cage is really for dedicated race/track cars only, and not really advisable for street use. I doubt you'll see many like you describe.
  9. Doesn't matter. Not unless you're a collector. And if you're on Hybridz, I'm guessing you aren't. Edit: didn't realize you meant fuel economy.
  10. Definitely looks good. Probably the most stock looking flare I've seen. I agree with the others though, you need to do something about that inner lip.
  11. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the aluminum will react with the steel, not in a good way. Definitely best to weld in replacement metal - don't bother with rivets.
  12. Rust in the rails that run under the floorboards is pretty common. Though, you should think about stripping the car down and seeing just how much rust you have to deal with.
  13. Looks great man. Solid color was definitely the way to go.
  14. I love the stance of your Z, spitz. What's your suspension setup? What do you think of the 911 compared to the Z? Doesn't seem like too many people (that I can find) have experience with both, but I've heard the 911 rides/handles better.
  15. IMO the indents for the bolt holes would make this very difficult to produce, and if you could, it would probably be very expensive. Nissan had the means to make them in whatever material they wanted and they chose fiberglass - probably for a good reason. I'm with Alan on this one. Don't expect good quality flares from a cheap source.
  16. That's what I have in my E30. I was originally looking for one with a black interior, but I saw the red, and fell in love. E30s didn't come with Recaros though
  17. Are those BMW E21 Recaros? Nice seats for sure, but better suited for an 80s car IMO. Anyway, if I were replacing the seats in my Z, I'd go with seats from a 944 or 911 (which are heavy, but look the part), or a set of these: http://www.classiccarseats.com/st-seats.php Period correct looks and lightweight. Very expensive though, and they don't recline, if that bothers you.
  18. I've only heard of that in junkyards. I'd stop them ASAP. And I think I'd find a new company too. Doesn't sound like they have any business in shipping cars.
  19. There are definitely some examples that are best left stock, but that is not one of them. Looks like it has a ton of rust.
  20. I believe 260Zs got the 280Z style door panels, along with the rest of the 280Z interior. The lock pull change you're talking about only applies to 77 and 78 280Zs.
  21. Yours is an early 260Z, which is basically a 240Z with 280Z dash and tail lights. A late 260Z is basically a 280Z with an L26.
  22. No way I'd pay that much when there's better options for much, much less. I've been doing some research on ITB options for my own build, and from what I've read, these are the ones to go with: http://www.jenvey.co.uk/ You're looking at around $1100 for 3 DCOE style throttle bodies, plus a Cannon (or similar) manifold for carbs which you can get used.
