  1. PHEW! It's back. I must've checked at least 50 times today.
  2. Maybe not where you are, but where I am, 10" is plenty reason to close school.
  3. We put a spot in the floor the other day from that. It popped when I was sitting in front of it as well and scared the crap outta me...
  4. Heh, I used your site for reference from time to time as well, and noticed it was gone a few weeks ago also.
  5. Jealous... Can't wait to see where it goes though.
  6. I doubt he can find a rust free shell in VA. Sure, it's possible, but not really likely. Shipping probably won't be as much as you think. Personally, I plan on going the CA or AZ car route as soon as I can afford it. One that's spent it's whole life there, that is, as I've actually had both an AZ and CA car, both rusty
  7. Both my grandmother and grandfather had Alzheimers. My grandmother had it for about 5 years I guess before she died last spring. Definitely sucks to watch, and like your mother, needed 24/7 care. Expensive indeed.
  8. There was a news report or something about this a while ago, told you rough useful life of a tire, and how to check the age of the tire.
  9. I saw the videos on youtube of his collection. Stock cars aren't really my thing, but I can appreciate a nice stock Z. And he has not one, but 16(?) gems. Amazing. Tony, I think there's some pictures of his garage on zhome.com somewhere.
  10. Yep, F head indeed. Sounds like good plans for the M37. Ever since I saw Stacy David do Sgt. Rock, I've wanted to do an old military truck like that. I thought about a 4bt for the CJ, but decided it was probably too heavy.
  11. Yep, but not to stock. I plan on using it for it's intended purposes. The tub is rusty, so I plan on rebuilding that with a few personal touches. Roll bar, 35s, lockers, power steering, etc. Canadianz - Cool! Are you doing a stock restoration? Also, I've got that motor too. Not sure why... it's not supposed to be there.
  12. Sure does. How do you think I got it stuck? Burns a ton of oil though... when you step on it, it basically leaves a white smoke screen. Thanks!
  13. Well that would explain why my moms 2000 A4, as well as an ~07 A4 are both way more cramped than my moms tiny little '92 Jetta.
  14. Don't I know it... Or rather, wish I did. I like where this project is going though. I'll be following it.
  15. Sounds much better. I chuckled at the response from the Honda in the second video.
  16. I got my windshield in one piece, as well as the side glass. A first for me, haha.
  17. I agree, S130s are very simple to work on! Getting started in the engine bay was kind of a pain, but once you get started, it's all downhill. I'm not quite at the point you're at, but that would be the next step since there are two trim pieces left on the entire shell - and they're not coming off. I also learned that S130s hide rust rather well.
  18. I agree. Based purely on looks, I really like the car. It's the rest that kills it for me. I like form and function.
  19. A) That car has been discussed here several times before, and generally ends up in the tool shed. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/7AD1/50-1401
  20. You're incorrect about the transmission, 5 speeds were available on the late 280zs.
  21. I think it belonged to Poindexter on here. He is in NJ.
