Yeah, behind the seats, are there two lids/storage compartments, or about 10 holes, roughly 2" in diameter? I really doubt anyone would take the time to modify/remove those. Your 240z has an L28 and 5spd right? I have an early 240z, with an L28 and 5spd, and the shifter hole is trimmed to allow the shifter to fit, since it is farther forward. Later 240z consoles fit in mine just fine as well.

What color is it? It looks great.

Is that satin black on top? What equipment did you use?

Well, I've only noticed the problem with leather and vinyl, but not cloth, so my plan is pretty much to get seats in some sort of cloth, like the stuff that most racing style seats seem to be covered in.

He is talking about the front portion of the fender that the headlights are in. I call them headlight buckets, but I think the proper name is sugar scoops. Not sure.

What are your requirements/budget? I know someone that had a Honda Fit, and IIRC they said it was very roomy/usable for the size. Light, pretty cheap for what you get IMO, looks alright, roomy. Seems like it would be the perfect DD. Edit: Missed your budget the first time. Nevermind.

From what I've read, they stopped at/around HLS30-204xx. FWIW, mine is HLS30-17955 and titled as a '71.

That should be titled as a 1971 240z.

200 for a fender and 340 for a hood? You can get those for cheap used in perfectly usable condition.

That's actually the same reason I do. If you look at some of my first posts, there's no caps. However, I decided I like this better, so I do it at most forums now most of the time. I've always paid attention to you're/your they're/there/their, etc. though.

Oh my god, ALL OF THOSE are huge pet peeves of mine. I don't have perfect grammar, but I feel like I have better grammar than most people. Fortunately, the 3 forums I visit most frequently all have memberships with at least decent grammar... there's a regional board I go on occasionally, that you would swear was comprised entirely of elementary school students. It's awful. What's worse is some of these people are police officers, business owners, etc. I have a very hard time taking these people seriously when they make simple spelling mistakes, or don't even TRY to type properly.
