  1. HA! That "person" was spamming another board I'm on too.
  2. The new wheels looks great, Drax!
  3. Just a thought, but you might try asking that guy that did the write up for the Subaru R180 conversion, since he would probably have most of those parts on hand, if not all of them.
  4. Aziza, is it a 325 or 318? Looks really good for $400.
  5. No kidding! I got my Willys Jeep from my neighbor for a whopping $0.00, and with some money spent on a few brake parts and some other miscellaneous things, I have a running, driving, fully functional Willys for about $250. I love that thing. Not to mention the satisfaction of getting something I first wanted as a young child.
  6. That sucks. On the bright side though, at least you found it, and not wrecked, as far as I can tell. Hope they catch/caught the thieves though - kinda sounded like they were about to catch them and get it back in one piece from some of your earlier posts last year but I guess not. That's really too bad.
  7. Cutting the tops off the side skirts made a big difference. Looks MUCH better that way!
  8. Another thought would be to have it so that the user HAS to read the rules before they can post. On another forum, you had to read the rules, and at the bottom, it said to PM the admin a certain word or phrase, or he would know you didn't read the rules and you'd get nowhere. I think that may be too much hassle, so your idea is probably better, but I thought I'd throw it out there. Might want to make it so they can make a thread in the New Member forum though, and X posts to make a thread everywhere else.
  9. As far as I can tell, yes, they were just metal bolted together. My car had lots of accident/rust repair work so it's possible there might be more to it (ie, PO changed something), but I don't think there is. You'll find out when you go to take it apart. Just some shaped thick metal and a few bolts held my bumpers on.
  10. He has a 240Z, not a 280Z. 240Zs don't have shocks. There should be two bolts on the back for each bracket, two brackets total. On the sides, I *think* there's just one bolt holding it on each side. Pretty simple. I'm not sure how you get to the side bolts on a normal 240Z though (mine had been messed with). For the side bolts, I don't know if you go in from under the car, and you can get them there, or if you have to take off the interior panels and get it that way.
  11. Is the bumper itself okay? If so, I'm guessing just the bracket is damaged. Just buy a new bracket... or make one.
  12. I don't have much experience here, but I'd just do the three single doors, and if I were to build a house, I'd do three single doors as well. I've never seen why people prefer the double door, but I guess that just personal preference. My parents house has two 9' wide doors, and there is no navigation problem at all. However, since my dad stores his Charger against the back wall, I can see now why two double doors might be handy... although the garage would then be smaller overall. Anyway, if I were in your position, I'd just do the three single doors. It'll look and function just fine. If you can though, I'd try to get 9' wide doors. My grandparents house has 8' wide doors, and while they're not hard to navigate in and out of, I like our 9' wide doors much better.
  13. Another good reason to allow users to edit posts would be to fix broken image links. I know I have a few broken links, and I know I'm not the only one. I realize all of what has been mentioned a moderator can do, but I think it's unnecessary to have to rely on them to do all of those things every time there's a problem.
  14. My god, that car is immaculate...
  15. I'm so glad the PO of my car dealt with them. They came out without a press or torch.
  16. It's not a problem at all. I'll try to do it tomorrow, or Monday.
  17. If you need any more pics, I have a 240z currently flipped over with all the brake and fuel lines still on it if you're interested. Let me know if you want me to take some.
  18. I think one of them is missing a few body pins. Kinda makes me wanna get my MT2 out to pass the time while all my cars aren't running.
  19. I'm with this guy. Looks like a great project (in NJ too!) but the auto is kind of a downer. To each their own.
  20. In that case, I say do what ya want. Go for it! Also, vinyl would also be a good idea if you ever decide to remove it without redoing the whole paint job.
