  1. On the firewall, drivers side near the top. (Again, please search)
  2. Were the rusty pieces replaced? It looks like it was simply reattached. If you didn't you should cut out and replace whatever is rusted, to save yourself headache in the future. Correct me if I'm wrong, just looks like the same pieces in the before and after picture.
  3. Shockingly enough I DID find a really good candidate, and it's pretty much my "perfect" 240z. Of course, after emailing the seller, I haven't gotten any replies after 3-4 days... It's driving me up a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wall...
  4. Assuming no major body work has been done, the 240z will have bumper indents behind the rear wheels, the 280z does not. BTW, you should search in the future, as theres a thread on 240z/280z differences. I think it's actually a sticky in this section.
  5. Tell me about it... Whats worse is when you find a nice car for sale that is easily within your grasp... only the seller won't reply to your emails. Ugh. (Speaking from an currently ongoing experience...) Anyway, congrats on the purchase!
  6. I measured once, and it was something like 175 inches. That's not exact though. Also depends upon if it's an early/late 260z, or if it has bumpers or not. With no bumpers or shocks, it will probably be closer to 170 inches. Those numbers are just from memory though, keep that in mind.
  7. NOOOOOOO don't buy from Showcars Bodyparts!!! Try Zedd Findings or Tabco. I got my patch panels from them, the rocker and doglegs I got look good, but the lower rear quarters didn't fit at all.
  8. The metal on the car seems to be 20 gauge, so I'd try that. That's what I'll be using.
  9. Very nice. I got a similar treat when I was in Washington. My family and I drove up to Vancouver for two days, and on the way back, we saw them practicing for quite a while. Was really cool to see.
  10. Personally, I wouldn't bother with it.
  11. I know a few people on here have made aluminum dashboards/consoles. The first off the top of my head is Lunar240z. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=116823 I know there are more, but I cannot remember who they were...
  12. I have to wonder where exactly he jacked it up. The subframe on my 280z is all bent up, presumably from... people jacking it up... Pretty sure you're not supposed to jack it up by the floor. The car may be more solid than he makes it out to be.
  13. Yep, he did this I think some time around February. He made a part out thread, and I asked him why. He said his chassis was twisted 5MM and that he wanted to make a kit or something to swap in the VH45, and that he needed a perfectly straight body to do so.
  14. Been getting it a LOT lately.
  15. #1 - Daily Driver LS6 240Z #2 - All Corners RUF RTurbo #3 - High Speed Heaven ZR1 #4 - Mid or Rear Ford GT #5 - Off the Beaten Trail Defender 90 #6 - Track Time GT2 #7 - WILD CARD Ferrari 355
  16. He has a few 70's and even a 69... I REALLY want that 69... But since there's no way I can get it, someone else go save it!
  17. Excellent work Myron. I'm impressed with how quickly you work as well. Just one quick question - Is this thing that looks like a tow hook welded to your strut tower a tow hook?
  18. Post pics. If you do decide to cut it up though, I could probably use the gas tank, and maybe the shift knob.
  19. Since your room mate said ZX's aren't worth "jack diddley" and now this... I'm wondering if perhaps you should stop listening to your room mate. Just a thought. Also, if you'll notice, this car has 4 lugs:
