  1. and it will only cost you about $2.00
  2. Having a home theater setup in the garage is awesome
  3. When is the official US release?
  4. I love loft living. I'm gonna miss mine when I move out in two weeks. Finally having my own garage will help ease the transition though. If I were single I would get a loft with a roll up door so I can park my Z in the living room
  5. I think I may try the stock turbo pressure plate for a while. If it doesn't work out I can always switch back to the ACT since I will be pulling the motor again after the rebuild.
  6. With a fresh rebuild I think the motor can handle stock boost levels. I would swith to a 2mm head gasket though. That will drop your compression ratio closer to 8:1. As long as you're good about resisting the urge to turn the boost up and you run an intercooler, it should hold up.
  7. Is the Z31 PP any stronger than the 280ZX turbo PP and does it bolt up to the 240mm flywheel?
  8. I think it's the main bearings too. I really doubt it's the crank. Those suckers are stong. If you want to be sure though, you should have the journals and straightness checked on the crank.
  9. I'm running the 240mm ACT street disc and heavy duty pressure plate in my turbo 240. I'm might be pulling my motor soon to have it rebuilt since I just scored a complete spare L28ET for $250 . Does anyone know any alternative pressure plates I can use with the street disc? If I put in a stock turbo pressure plate will that defeat the purpose of using the ACT street disc? I guess I want something not quite as stiff and will allow me to lower the clutch pedel without swapping master or slave cylinders while retaining above stock holding power (I want it all ). Just looking into possible alternatives since I will be pulling the motor soon.
  10. What type of side jobs do you do?
  11. Same technique with me but I point my foot the other way. Toe pointing at 11 o'clock. Side of my foot on the brake and roll over to the throttle. I just do it by ear.
  12. I think you are looking at the dizzy.
  13. Looking good Chris . What kind of fuel management will you be running with this setup? Keep us updated on the progress. BTW, I sent you an email the other day regarding your old DP.
  14. I almost went into architecture instead of engineering. I still contemplate switching over or doing architecture on the side. I think I just like design in general. You do not need a masters degree but I think you have to do some kind of appenticeship after you finish school. You don't have to be able to draw like an artist, you just need to be able to communicate your ideas on paper. You will probably have some basic drawing classes and CAD work will probably be the majority of your work so I wouldn't worry too much about freehand sketching.
  15. Here is the bottom of a R34 Skyline for reference. I think I posted this on the old thread.
  16. Yeah, what Z-Gad said. Are you using a regular head gasket with the flat top pistons?
  17. I used Tire Rack for my new yoks. Had it shipped straight to the tire shop and it got there in 1 day if I remember right. They have a warehouse in Nevada. Saved me at least $100 compared to wheel works.
  18. For the front, I think you can also use the vented 300ZX rotors with 280ZX calipers. You have would have to take a little off the diameter of the rotor for clearence but not much. Just another option.
  19. I've heard good things about chevron's techron. I haven't used it regularly myself but I have seen it recommended by a few car clubs including Porsche Cars North America.
  20. I think it should fit. My 15x7 Wats with +15 offset fit on the rear but just touch the spring perch in the front. With the -13 offset I think you will have just enough clearance.
  21. I'm Panhead too but I ride with the Toecutters MC
  22. Yeah, it was that blue one that was at the MSA show last year. I think he posted those mounts for sale here about a year ago.
