  1. its been under a lean too since 91 and we don't get enough sun to split them. Wet salty roads......we have plenty of them
  2. It needs a clean but it has no cracks in it.....the car on the other hand has had it!
  3. I have a spare RHD dash if anyone is looking for one.
  4. I have the NA cam in my turbo l28....runs very well, pick up is great and puls hard all the way to 7k.
  5. We have a lot of rain here and my car sticks pretty well with this setup 14" 130lb/inch 2 1/4" springs front with Protec oil adjustable dampers. 14" 150lb/inch 2 1/4" springs rear "" "" "" "" "" on softest setting standard ARB front and back. R200 LSD 255/40/17 pzero rear 235/45/17 pzero front. Could do with a stiffer ARB at the front. My next tyres will be Potenza's or R888's A lot of power at the rear wheels in a light car is always going to be fun in the wet.
  6. wrong, its a lambo that makes the world turn!
  7. VW TDI's respond very well to a good remap...they use a Bosch EDC15 ECU which can be flashed over the OBDII socket, takes about 20mins. The Standard 115 hp PD engine has massive torque, remapped goes to around 290lb/ft 150hp. The standard turbo is pretty small but with a larger one big HP is possible. I've often thought it would be great fun in a lightweight 2 seater.
  8. Yep some diesels here in the UK are faster than petrol versions, BMW 330 twin turbo diesel with an ecu ramap 360hp 490ft/lb
  9. My VW golf diesel 150hp 270ft/lb will return 60mpg on long trips and 45mpg around town.
  10. Oh , don't forget to set MS EDIS to rising edge not falling edge
  11. http://65.35.225.254:56789/Spike_Mod/Noise.rtf http://65.35.225.254:56789/Spike_Mod/Noise_Mod_1_.JPG http://65.35.225.254:56789/Spike_Mod/Noise_Mod_2_.JPG http://65.35.225.254:56789/Spike_Mod/Noise_Mod_3_.JPG Here you go!!
  12. Yes I realize the rate drops with pressure, WOT in 3rd I hit 52% duty cycle so there is plenty of room for more when I finanlly get around to raising the boost. I should have checked the base pressure like you said, I just wanted to point out that the injectors seem to give a good spray pattern even with low fuel pressure.
  13. Yes 2 bar with vacuum. Obviously it runs higher pressure when the engine is running boost
  14. I have Rochester 650cc low imp injectors from FiveO. 2 bar fuel pressure ...no idle problems.
  15. when connected to a boost controller the 2nd port lets air pressure push against the diaphragm in the opposite direction to the first port. this lets you run higher boost pressures and helps keep boost pressure stable.
  16. Oh, I also used a turbo oil pump and blocked off the relief valve on the filter housing. Detonation? all depends on what CR you're going to end up with, that and how cool you intake temps are. I should think 12 to 15 psi would be plenty for a very powerful engine. There's only so much timing you can pull before you start loosing power.
  17. I'm running an f54/p90 combo .5mm oversize flat top pistons. All ARP bolts and 2 mm steel headgasket. CR 8.35:1.Megasquirt fuel and spark. Large FMIC and Holset HE351CW At 12psi boost , 15deg adv timing it will wheel spin in 3rd! no lag and very responsive. No problems yet and I drive it hard
  18. It's probably Big Phil as Elvis Santa!
  19. Innovative LM-1...I wouldn't be without mine now.
  20. Check the 2 nuts where the diff bolts to the moustache bar are very tight...this is where my "clunk" was coming from. I changed just about everything before I found it!
  21. Very true Wizzard black, It's now been changed along with fuel and timing for a much better msq. How do I delete the existing one?
  22. Phil what size restrictor do you have in your oil feed to the turbo?
  23. Looks like it goes in the down pipe after the turbo, when on full boost it's fully open bypassing the exhaust system and allowing very little back pressure.
  24. Maybe a larger diameter master would do the trick.
