well i have spark...so i don't think the cap is a problem and i drove it home (about 3 minutes from where that puddle was....) could there still be water in it then?

ok, so here's everything i know. last night it was raining heavy. I see big puddle...i think "fun!". I get home. do whatever....get back in my car after about 30 mins....crank, crank crank...no start buddy comes over check for spark....we have spark Fuel...well we can't hear the fuel pump, and can't smell fuel out the tailpipe...so we say its the fuel pump. I take fuel pump out. test with battery....fuel pump works. I look through haynes manual for all electrical points having to do with fuel pump. All good. (look that way anyway) Try hooking fuel pump back up...still nothing. hard-wire fuel pump to battery w/ a switch...fuel pump works install fuel pump. Check a fuel line to see if i have pressure....have pressure. crank...crank...crank...crank....no start. Been trying for the past 30 mins. any one have any ideas?

i cant wait! although....its gonna suck cause im not gonna be able to drive after watching them anymore... (parking car for the winter this week) Any word on if OMFG is still at it? i new he was having to re-do some of the episodes...

well i know that when i put a 5 speed out of an '81 zx in my '75, i had to use the old shifter, cause the zx one apparently had some little difference, but was too far forward, and was bumping into the console when shifting into 1st, 3rd, 5th. although, i do remember something about it being a short throw now....

haha....yea i was thankfully. And thanks, im glad i have the airdam back on it too.

well, since i was pretty close to my solo, i wanted to wait until then to see how things played out. And things got ALOT better once he put himself in the position of "this is your plane...im just a passenger", in preperation for my solo. And i actually learned a lot more, and my landings and everything along with that got considerably better. And so, things are actually going fine now. I think he has enough confidence in me now to let me adjust for my own mistakes and let me make my own calls in the air. So i havn't talked to him about it yet...although im pretty sure i still will just for the sake of future students he might have. But thank you to everyone here, seriously. I really needed some outside opinions on the matter.

any interest in the GTR or FD? They are gonna be easier to get a hold of than the 911, but i should be able to get the 911 to come out too. When are you thinking of doing this?

what, no 4x4? hehe yeah when i park it this winter, im gonna look into sectioning my struts and going with a coilover kit (brand to be determined)

yeah that was what i was pointing to^^ sorry for not making it more clear. i looked at the wiring diagram from the chilton's manual...but wasn't very clear as to where exactly i should be seeing a couple cut wires... also looks like some kind of hose, or cable was connected to it, rather than just a couple wires, but i could be wrong.

i've been thinking of making like a little movie re creating a wangan midnight run with my z, my friend's R32 GTR, Dad's friend Porshe 911 turbo, and another friend's 94 FD (i know...not much in the way of FD's in the anime, but whatever) first gotta get me a chrome bumper, airdam, and fender mirrors hehe and man would i love to make a blow through set up...
