  1. Hmmm...maybe try calling a couple of clutch manufacturers. Let them know what you have, and ask them what you need. You don't need to buy the parts from them, but they will probably give you the most reliable info. Tim
  2. Here is some info: http://media.gm.com/division/powertrain/news/4200_Overview.pdf http://www.autointell-news.com/News-2003/August-2003/August-2003-4/August-27-03-p10.htm http://www.joebasilchevrolet.com/engine.htm http://www.motortrend.com/future/concepts/112_0203_blazer/ http://www.thebetterprice.com/Chevy_Trucks/trailblazer/engine.htm Tim
  3. Not that difficult really. The only snag tends to be getting the spindle pin out. Last time I pulled a complete suspension I used this sequence: 1. Remove wheels 2. unattach brake lines and e-brake cable 3. Remove side shaft bolts (I take them off at the Diff side) 4. Remove 3 nuts at strut tower (leave a couple on with a couple of threads) 5. Remove the 'cups' that hold the inner control arm bushings. 2 x 14mm (hex) bolts each (F & R). 6. place jack under strut (at spindle pin area) 7. Completely remove strut tower nuts. 8. (if you have a rear sway bar, hopefullt you have removed it already. 9. Lower the assembly down with the jack. That should do it!! Tim
  4. I was thinking the same thing....but what a man does behind closed doors is his business lol Tim
  5. Looks to be the same one I have (and many others too). MSA part. Tim
  6. There is long list of 'not so legal' issues with this car: no marker lights no rear bumper Headlight covers no certification of the V8 conversion soon to be: tinted windows Non DOT approved 5 point harnesses (Simson FIA approved) etc etc etc.....DOWN WITH THE MAN Hasn't been much sun lately....been raining. Tim
  7. And that was his Ex-Wife. What a total BEAAATCH :malebitchslap: Tim
  8. Being the colonial sort, my birthday always coincides with Guy Fawkes day. A little history: Tim
  9. This morning (02h30) on the 118 freeway in Northridge, CA. A black Vette doing well in excess of 100mph, smacked into the rear of a Honda Prelude with a Woman & 2 kids inside, sending the Prelude and family into a fiery spin (killing them-burned beyond recognition), leaving a 1/2 mile debris field. The driver and passenger of the Corvette were not killed (only minor injuries).....Suspected DUI
  10. The cheapest place to lose weight is the driver's belly !! I have dropped almost 40lbs now (from 225lbs to 180 or so), so my V8 will not even notice me!! Tim
  11. Yeah, but what great marketing for them..You know what they say, any advertising is good advertising!! I bet that dealership becomes a cult visiting place. I bet if I happened to be passing through the area, I would stop by....just to see the place. I bet this has almost zero negative effect on their business....likely the opposite. Glad the dude got his ride though. Tim
  12. Either that guy is REALLY hungry for work, or you're gonna get a very shoddy job. Not imposible, but be very wary and get the quote in writing with very specific details on what he will and won't do. Many bodyshops won't even think about just painting a car for that much. Tim
  13. Sorry' date='that site is wrong. According to the CA vehicle code (section 26708), no tinting is allowed (on any of the windows) unless you have a Doctor's note saying that you have to be protected from sunlight (skin or eyes), and even then, it has to have a minimum of 70% transparency.: Tim
  14. MSA used to stock them and I really wanted one, but as of a couple of years ago, they said that their supplier was no longer making them.... Tim
  15. Hmmm...that's what I was thinking!! Wazzup wid dat homey!! Tim
  16. After talking to Matt and John Coffey at the BBQ on Sunday, and hearing that they have never had a problem, even though they are illegal, can anyone else in La La land give some experiences with having teh Driver's and passenger side windows slightly tinted? Have you been hassled by THE MAN? I was planning to do just the hatch and rear 1/4 windows, but it would look sweeeet if I did the side ones too!! There is going to be so much 'illegal' with my car, that I'm getting a bit 'noid: ~no rear bumper ~Uncertified conversion ~No marker lights ~Headlight covers ~non DOT approved harnesses (although they are FIA approved (Simson) ) ~many speeding infractions ( JK) Tim
  17. Put it on him James. Keep up the GM side Scottie!!! :malebitchslap:
  18. Try these; http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=TFS%2D31500811 Tim
  19. Maybe try looking at the Cobra replica sites. I do remember seeing a site that sold all the accessories for the Cobras, including those tops, but I never bookmarked the page. Tim
  20. Why buy new!! Got from the JY (and they are pocket size ) ...actually from a ZX, but just about any car will do, as long as the line size is the same. The ZX one is just the easiest to get to because it's right on the driver's side fender well, so no crawling under the car. Tim

    Wire Z Model

WOW!! That is really really COOL!! Just need some subframe connectors Tim
  22. Davy, I used the old Z fuel line and bent it to the shape of the opening of the air dam mouth. Then I wrapped the mesh around that and used galanized wire to keep in place. Then to attach the whole enchilada to the air dam, I used insulated 'P' clamps, like one would use for attaching wiring or hoses. I used machine screws and drilled holes in the mouth of the air dam.
