  1. I have to disagree about the Falken Ziex 502s. I worked for many years in a tyre shop and tried many various tyres on my car, and always went back to the Falkens. As an all around mid performance tyre, and for the price, nothing can beat them. I have said this many times, and My car and my wife's Volvo 850 run them. Of course they're not racing tyres, but I challenge anyone to find a tyre that gives:Good dry and wet grip Good (quiet) roadnoise Long mileage EXCELLENT affordability. Because of the very high natural rubber content (as apposed to synthetic rubber)of the tyres, the first 100 to 200 miles are slick, but after that let her rip!! I don't want to turn this post into a tyre comparison rant, but had to give my 2c worth. Tim
  2. John, At this point, can't you just take the centers to a machine shop and have them bored out? Stop payment to the wheel supplier and let them sweat for a while? And they say America is the land of customer service!!! Many time true, but increasingly, it seems, not any more!! Tim
  3. yeah, looks like you're quicker on the draw!! Tim
  4. Recommend using the search button on the top right of your screen. A 2 second search yielded this: http://www.hybridz.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=7;t=001209#000000 Tim
  5. Acey, I am assuming that you mean the 'crossmember' that goes to the rear of the diff (and is the top housing for the rear of the lower control arms)? If so, this may (or may not) help. When I installed my R230, it fouled with this 'crossmember', so all I did was to cut out the piece between the control arm mounts and wld in a section of rectangular tubing, which gave me enough space to clear the cooling fins on the R230. 6. Yeah, apparently 76 has made the switch to ethanol already!Tim
  7. Mudge, Then I suppose just editting the timing curve manually by a degree or so will preclude the knock response. If I remember correctly you are also using TunerCat? Tim
  8. Will the PCM not compensate and just retard the ignition timing if it 'senses' detonation? Tim
  9. What ever happened to these. Someone in SoCal was going to be making some, but I never heard another word about it!! Anyone ever get one? Tim

  19. Got it from: www.icbmotorsport.com I payed 186.99 plus tax, but picked up so didn't have to pay the shipping and handling ($14). I picked up the weld on adapter for $35. It's soooo cool!!! Tim
  20. Just installed one on my ZXT. Sounds like a semi truck parallel parking between shifts. Oh what fun!!!! Tim
  21. I think that if you get into the PCM and edit the Spark/Fuel/MAP curve, you can avoid detonation, and upgrade to the LT4 Knock module and should be fine. But I would suggest that you find someone that REALLY knows what they're doing to have the curve editted. Tim
  22. Nope, If you've got a ZX you're on your own. Have a look at Dave Greimann's web pages. His user name is Greimann here on Hybrid. Just poke around until you see a post from him. Tim
