  1. For the clutch set-up, get an aftermarket master cylinder (wilwood or some such), and then have a line made from that to the oem slave. You'll need to tap new threads in the slave and put a fitting in it to mate up your new line. The mount for the T56; Can use the JTR one. I made up my own because I didn't agree with the JTR design (bolting to the flimsy floorboards), but I have never heard of anyone having issues with that. With mine, I have more space for the exhaust routing. BTW, I picked up my '94 LT1/T-56 (Z28) for $1400 Smiling all the way. I was going to go GN-Turbo, but couldn't pass this deal up!! I'm still not sure if I regret not going GN For roll cage, I got mine from S&W for under $200 delivered: http://www.swracecars.com/rolbarlist.html#anchor1158811 Tim
  2. Have you checked for spark from the coil to the distributor? Maybe the coil is bad. Take off the dizzy cap and check the contacts too. Tim
  3. If all else fails I'll go and look at my 83 ZXT and see where the wires are. You are talking about the temp sensor that's in the front of the thermostat housing right? Tim
  4. Ryan, I'll look at my FSM and see if I can figure the wiring thing out for you. Give me a day or so. Tim
  5. I had mine made. See my reply just before your last post. Tim
  6. Thanks guys. I'll do it this weekend. BTW...My machinist can supply these adapters for the following $$$$: Billet Aluminum: $45 plus shipping Cast Aluminum: $20 plus shipping. I got the cast one and will post a picture if you like. Tim
  7. OK, I have my new 1inch adapter in hand now, so I am ready to bolt on the TB to my 83 ZXT. Are there any other adjustments that need to be made apart from just bolting up the TB? Will it make the engine run leaner (too lean!)? I am going to run the car in OEM trim at the Irwindale 1/8 mile tomorrow (Thursday) night as a baseline. I will then add the TB, CAI, intercooler (GN), 3" downpipe, and increase boost to 8-10lbs for the next time out to see what happens. Tim
  8. Very cool site!!!!! Definitely a bookmark now. Actually, I'm going to download all that info in case the site ever disappears Tim
  9. It'll work, but the stock downpipe is very restrictive! Putting on a custom 3" unit will free up some HP. Tim
  10. couple of pics on my site. I made the panel out of aluminum. Tim
  11. Mike, Best of luck. Change is usually a good thing....shakes things up a bit. Can be kinda scarry though. I live by the motto " The grass is almost never greener on the other side, just a different hue" Tim
  12. Dan, I think that you have the LS1 in mind? The LT1 can use the JTR mounting kit as it mounts in the same way as the old gen SBC blocks. The only thing that make the LT1 conversion any more difficult than a carburetted V8 is the wiring for the PCM, upgrading the fuel lines, and fuel pump and tank. Other than that it's pretty straight forward. Tim
  13. If you have Microsoft Paint on your computer, you can use that to shrink images (view size, but won't compress). Tim
  14. Like one of the guys said on that thread.....when you mod a car, you void the warranty and take personal responsibility, you pay to play, and it is true that these bogus warranty claims increases the price of new vehicles for everyone else......you think the Manufacturer is going to just eat that $$$$, no, they pass it on to Joe Q. Consumer. I have mixed feelings about ratting him out, but the dealer obviously was going to deny the claim anyways. The guy was a putz for posting that the dealer was going to cover the blown engine!!! Tim
  15. I wish I could delete posts in this section!
  16. Hmmmm, I'd say that li'l ol thing has a mild recoil! Tim
  17. Let your fingers do the walking...... Tim
  18. Best plan is to take it to a radiador shop that does tank cleaning, and have them dip and recoat the inside. Cost a little more, but is good economy in the long run. Tim
  19. I would first see if in fact you will exceed the 90dB limit at the distance that the track measures from. I believe for highway regulations, the 90dB is measured at 20feet away from the car, from the side of the car. Maybe a trip to the local CHP inspection station can confirm you sound level (whoah, did I just sy that?!). Check with the track on their testing criteria. Most times they don't check at WOT, but at a lower RPM. Tim
