  1. It's pretty straightforward. Sometimes the tube from the filler neck to the tank gets 'seized' onto the tank and takes some persuation to get off. Usually a flat screwdriver wedged in and pushed around the tube will do it. Other than that, it's simple. Tim
  2. See you guys tomorrow!!! Drop me an email if you need directions or my tel#. tim
  3. that is a wayyyyy cool article!!!! 220mph from a diesel!!!! cool man!! Tim
  4. TTT. See you guys on Saturday!! If you want to attend, and haven't confirmed, please let me know, so I can have enough brews and food. Tim
  5. I'm with Aux on this one. If she IS that inconsiderate and is willing to break it off so easily, I would bet that she is just waiting for an excuse. Kick her to the side and move on. Trust me, I've been through a very similar situation, but was totally kitty (insert correct term) whipped and begged her to not break it off. It never worked out. I will never let a woman put me in that situation again....even my wife....and she knows it! Seems like a lack of personal respect. Talk to her again when you are both calm and SOBER, and see what happens. My 2c.....but I'm better with engines!!! Tim
  6. Van, You're planning on driving it to my place on Saturday aren't you? Will youhave the cam and intake on by then? Tim
  7. crazy as a loon!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Keith, While all the above are valid....LT1 is easier to fit (JTR kit), which make a big difference. Your HP goals are possible with the LT1. Tim
  9. RX, IMHO, the origin of the car is no matter, it's the state of mind...... Tim
  10. go to the FAQ post from SuperDan in the announcement forum. Tim
  11. Dude, Read the FAQ in the announcements forum! Tim
  12. You'll likely need to do all that anyway. The V8 mounts you can buy, so fabbing isn't an issue. And you should find out if your SC upgrade will make the smog Nazis happy!! I second the opinion.....go V8, although your SC plans sound like a fun project. Tim
  13. Is it rusty on the bearing surfaces too, or just the lobes? I've used very fine emery cloth before and had no problems. Hell, I put a rusty cam in once (no rust on the bearing surfaces) and just ran the thing and changed the oil & filter after a couple of hours of running. To my knowledge that engine is still running asound somewhere. Tim
  14. Tim, No way Man!!!Fly out for the weekend!!!!
  15. Confirmed so far: Dan Porter Bang Owen Rick Johnson Spencer Fern John Coffey Bryan Lama Anyone else? The more the merrier Tim
  16. Yasin, Could you provide details on the conversion. I got a TB (240sx) from the JY, but what do I need further? I've heard a spacer, but can it be done without it? What's the best way to set up the TPS after bolting it back on to the new TB? Will this cause problems with 'smog testing'? Thanks, Tim
  17. JW, Obviously price is the biggest issue, but also, if it has some kind of intergrated splitter/airdam, that would be good too.....I like the look of the Showcars units (with maybe a little more agressive splitter), and would have bought one of those if the quality and fit was better. I do concede that you will have to appeal to the majority here, but just my 2c worth of preference! Tim
  18. Wow, I must have just gotten lucky..I just welded it on and drove..no leaking, no stalling, nothing but WOOOOSH!! I welded mine on the J pipe about 2 inches before the TB, on the bend. I tried to get it as close to the TB as possible. Tim
  19. Say hello "Uncle Ben" Very ricey!!! Tim
