  2. Terry....is that overspray on your tires?!! tsk tsk.....gonna have to do some hard cornering now to scrub them The wheels look fantastic!!! One comment, though....the area forward of the front wheels seems to be quite a large open expanse of body panel....have any plans to break it up a bit, or are you going for the super sleek look? As always
  3. Nope...it is purely because Chevy is far superior to Ford....end of story!! Just kidding...well maybe not, but anyways.....I find that the aftermarket caters to Chevy to much more extensive degree, and I grew up wrenching on Chevy V8s....its in my comfort zone....hmmm....maybe time to break out......nah!
  4. If it was deleted, it would be due to a rule infringement. There are no special classifieds priveledges afforded donating members. http://forums.hybridz.org/announcement.php?f=65&announcementid=3
  5. The sand was very likely from the intake. The factory tends to leave a bunch of sand from the mold in the intake. If you pull the intake, remove the splash pan from the underside, you will likely find sand in the bolt holes, or in the threaded plug holes under there...... As for getting the sand out.....have you run the engine already....if not, you might be able to just carefully mop it out, or vacuum it with a shop vac..... Tim
  6. BTW (shameless plug), I have a set of rims in the classifieds just like those on the yellow Z....... Here is the link
  7. Done. All is well again in the matrix....
  8. Your list is upside down.....you need to start with suspension, brakes and other safety related parts.....
  9. 5 years and I stopped counting at $15K. And although it was running and on the road....it is now without drivetrain again waiting for something new and fun.....
  10. What ever your budget and schedule is, multiply the $$ by 3 and the time by 5. That is a pretty good rule of thumb, and a very conservative one at that.

  12. Terry....don't listen to guy.....put some cubes in that baby!!!
  13. You can change absolutely EVERYTHING!!! Here is a link to the Demo Version. http://www.tunercat.com/obd2/obd2tnr_demo.zip

  15. Terry....yup, same exterior dimensions up to 600+ ci....that's the beauty of it.....you have a tiny displacement BB, which gives you a lot of room to play with when you get bored of the 396....
  16. try these 2 places....I have had good luck with both for other stuff: Ecology dismantler (http://www.ecoparts.com) parts on request: por@ecoparts.com (they are a self service group of yards, but keep the 'good stuff' for requests. Also, call Mike (miguel)(x-1147) at LKQ (Lakenor auto parts) in Santa Fe Springs. I bought my suburban drivetrain from him. Great place to deal with! http://www.lkqcorp.com LKQ of Southern California 10950 South Norwalk Blvd. Santa Fe Springs, CA , 90670 (800) 525-3667 (800) LAKENOR
  17. Headlight covers on the bay right now too: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7973555428&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 Getting pricey though, but are on ebay pretty seldom.
  18. GP20, post your picture to a free host site that does not require membership. Post to your album here, or to yahoo, or some other online host. Tim
  19. there is always a parachute Sorry...couldn't resist. I have a set of wilwood 4 pistons and 11.25" x 1.25" vented disks. I haven't had to do any very high speed stops, but at normal highway speed, stomping on the anchors will pull the sphincter shut! Tim
  20. I just received my package from TunerCat for tuning my OBDII L31 vortec. Very nice package, includes everything needed (cables, interface black box etc) and the application is just as slick, if not more so, as the OBDI (LT1) program. It is significantly more money, but is a package deal, so I guess it isn't too bad! Plus!!! the system is not VIN locked and my neighbors have several vehicles with the same drivetrain, so I can likely start recouping my costs a bit
