  2. Sounds like you are buying another headache
  3. You can get the smog test history on the car by inputting the VIN or License plate # in the DMV website. It doesn't give the numbers, but will tell you if it ever failed. http://www.smogcheck.ca.gov/vehtests/pubtstqry.aspx Tim

  5. I wish! I could have saved A LOT of $$ if my wife would even consider a minivan. She wouldn't even consider a Volvo V70XC. In her words: "It's STILL a station wagon... When I first met her' date=' she wouldn't even consider a 4 door sport sedan. I ended up having to shell out for an Eddie Bauer Expedition to hold the kids and all the gear.[/quote'] Well...now we know who wears the pants in that family

  14. Glad to hear that you are coming right!!! I too chased a low RPM stumble for months, but have it sorted now, so I know the feeling!!! Well done!
  15. Not ideal, but if the surfaces are COMPLETELY smooth, then it will work. To be safe, I would take it to a good machine shop and have them inspect it, maybe even mag it....sounds like it may have been dropped a few times. If you paid more than $50 for it, get your $$ back
  16. The engine has to have been approved by CARB and the Feds in the first place.....
