  2. What did I tell ya would happen.... Hey hot head, why don't you post the email I sent you, trying to save you from most likely a ass wuppin....
  3. I emailed him and was very nice about it.... he'll prolly come back with a flame at me. I just hope no one here buys it for a R230...
  4. Before I "school" this guy on what I think, he thinks, is a R230, will someone tell me for sure? Take a look at this >> Ebay R230 ?? hehe... I hope its not a member here...
  5. Just read between the lines with some of what he says.... I think he means, look out, were coming, and were gona get that asss...
  6. We have some pretty smart fellows that hang out here, so hang out for a few and someone will step up with a good recomendation for ya.....
  7. Just to add a tale to this one.... I chewed up the outer boots when I first did the CV conversion, by not paying attention to the emergency brake cables. They were touching the CV shafts during bumps in the road, hence lots O grease all over everything. Like you, "I thought I smelt something"....
  8. Now were getting somewhere.... I'll be on the look out for my scoop style.
  9. I'm using the exact same thing on my car also. I bought a roll of alum tube and ran it from the rear external fuel pump, to the fire wall/fuel rail braided hose. Works great. What I did do is put a drop of green locktite (wicking formula) on the small brass compression ring that you slide over the tubing, and on the tubing itself after assembly, then tighten it all up. This was done only as a "just incase". It probably isn't necessary..
  10. So... try clicking this one... http://hybridz.org/nuke/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=profile&mode=viewprofile&u=9376
  11. Yes Bastad, I know your pain.. It sucks to have your new Alum flywheel and new preasure plate chewed up due to those 6 puck/button metallic disc. I had a SPEC stage4 clutch kit that demolished my new Findanza 240mm flywheel surface. They are just to harsh. I wish I'd of known that little trick you spoke of with the mix and matching of different clutch parts, to come up with a strong, yet smooth set up... I just have never been able to have both of those qualitys together in the same clutch, at the same time.... :
  12. The pics above should make idenifing the difference between the two without a doubt, but one more way makes it easy also... Look at the side area where the halfshaft inserts into the diff, the R-180 will have a bolt on cover (oil seal area) with 6 or 8 bolts. The R-200 will never have this. If you look at each halfshaft, toward the diff, and see bolts on the diff itself, (not the halfshaft) its not a R-200... 8)
  13. Oh Yea!.... thats what I'm talkin bout....
  14. Here is the latest pics of the SpeedShopThagard 240/260/280 intercooler, modded to fit all models. I think it looks pretty dawng kool... 8)
  15. Is the 280z 2+2 tranny the same as a coupe tranny out of same year? I know that the 2+2 has a larger flywheel and clutch disk and preasure plate. >>> SAME Is the spline the same? Will the coupe disk fit the spline? >>SAME Can i take a tranny out of a 2+2 and replace my broken tranny and use my flywheel, disk, throwout bearing, disk and preasure plate? >>> YES Are the gear ratios the same in a 2+2 tranny as a coupe tranny out of same year? >>> YES Will it bolt right up? and i can use my driveline? Or is the tailshaft longer in a 2+2 tranny? >> ONLY DIFFERNCE IS DRIVESHAFT LENGTH BETWEEN COUPE AND 2+2
  16. You guyz are right in saying first thing I'd try would be to torque that baby down, and see what happens.... Might as well try that first, it don't cost anything... 8)
  17. I got mine from Summit, and they were either in stock, or they had them drop shipped from ARP. They advertize them in their "import" flyer/magizine....
  18. Tell you what, since your in a bind, and I have 5 or 6 of these HKS gaskets (used but usable) I'll donate one to the cause..... All you have to come up with are the studs now, hows that??
  19. I'd definitly go with the Nissan oem turbo h/g instead of a fel pro. Been there, done that, as they say....
