  1. That's really not that bad. Watch a video of someone that's gone septic like when their pancreas or spleen bites it. Those are a little groady. And I'm surprised someone like that is still alive with all that in them. With those kind of bladder stones I'd either expect a horrible reaction to a calcium heavy drug, or something related to gout, or he just doesn't understand what water is.
  2. Did Someone say V12??? This mercedes is the 7.3L amg version, with 4 turbo's added. It went in a very affluent french man's Skyline complete with sequential 6 speed. On the lower boost setting it made well over 1400hp and probably close to 1600tq...though running out of turbo. Braap... I'm jealous. 190e's here are pretty rare compared to the larger W124 chassis cars. If your daughter wants a safe first car the 89-93 added SRS air bags, improved crumple zones, and different mounts that allowed the powertrain to move farther away from the pass compartment in the event of a head on collision. The 2.3 is kinda anemic in a 2900lb car, but makes for a good commuter. The 2.6 has a slightly revised engine bay for the longer six and moves pretty good with 170hp and more torque. Both get high 20's on average and both can see well over 300k before re-build if you watch the wear on the valve stem seals. And if you want to swap in the M104 the 2.6 chassis would make your life easier, as it's a bolt in operation (with re-wire) . IIRC they're both asking a little high for those cars, especially the 2.3. I'm personally looking for the 86-88 cars as they're 200lbs lighter. If you're really motivated, the LSx swap has been done before and weight right at the weight of the E36 M3CSL (2950lbs) with not much work to drop that a bunch, would make for a naughty naughty little benz. And you'll be glad to know, raping a 500e for springs, a front sway bar, and a 400e for calipers and disks (or an early (pre 93) 500e with the alloy brembos if you're just not happy with overkill) will give you a monster of a little car on the twisties, especially if you grab some Billstein HD's or Koni's. Having a JY as your main source for performance suspension make a mercedes a little less pricy than you'd think a mercedes should be
  3. That's not just your average woman. That's a mother. Whole new level of terrifying...
  4. IIRC it was a factory option for that side. A rare factory option, but an option none-the-less. My 71 doesn't have the holes, but the 73 parts car I robbed for goodies did.
  5. Nice... There's a youtube video of a V12 engine based on two KZ1300's somewhere too...
  6. Oh, I remember my favorite... When I first tried to drive the car, the lights in the speedo were wired in wrong, So when you turned the driving lights on it said the high beams were on, and only when your high beams were on could you see the 10-80 range in the speedo. But the 80-160 range was light, so what else do you need right?
  7. The radiator support is bolted in on the 2.6. You just unbolt the rad support and suck it out the front
  8. Well I finally found some pictures on the rev. 190rev.net is a great site if you've got a W201... These are from member xixang, who did a full writeup on his E320 M104 stuffed (literally) into his W201... It's tight... Getrag Dog-leg 5 speed
  9. I beg to differ, if you talk to my mother, she'd tell you I'm twenty years younger! And I'm not gonna age another minute damnit! At any rate, my old man always used this phrase while talking about race cars while I was growing up... "If it wont go, chrome it" Using that logic, a wrong wheel drive vehicle, straight from my generation.
  10. Well given the corollary that Hitachi's will run like crap regardless of what's done to them, I would say not important at all. But seriously, It's just as important as other carbs and can lead to all the same issues, way lean, way rich, flooding out, etc. etc. depending on how high or low it's set.
  11. Investigate the M111, M104, M119, and M120. These are the Mercedes Benz 4cy, I6, V8, and V12. They use practically the same dimensions for everything (rods, throws, etc.) Even the cams use similar duration. You can compare hp/Liter at your own will, though using the 500e M119 would be a joke unless you compared it with the Kompressor M111, C36 M104, and AMG (7.3) M120, since it was built and tested by Porsche
  12. At least they used a radio and a spotter to make sure nobody was coming down the road to get killed while they were attempting to kill themselves. Good jump though.
  13. They both look super clean. Probably means you're from the southwest. ...Pluto's a planet too damnit! Anyway, I vote get both, though if you plan on shoe-horning something cool inside the engine bay, the extra room the auto trans tunnel gives you will be a welcome site and it wouldn't take much to grab a manual pedal box and clutch master. I vote the first one... Then Both... Then the second.
  14. Very nice, but that has to be the most spastic turbo mounting I've sen in a while.
  15. You can light a firecracker in someone's toes or under their ass and it still wont cause them to get off their ass and move. ...personal experience.
  16. Living deep in the heart of the rust belt, just moving air will not help rust. You need a way to filter the salt that gets in everything during the winter out as well as a dessicant to keep the water off, especially as the salt attempts to attack your car.
  17. I feel there are more BMW people that like to build crazy bimmers than the Merc guys. The aftermarket shows this proportionally. I will obviously have to change the status quo. It's about time gives the ol' W201 some much needed respect... Both these cars are amazing, and both gave the other hell in DTM and enduro. Word is that the 2.5L Evo II produced something like 400hp in race trim to fight against those pesky M3's.
  18. Pfft. The post E30 3 series dwarf the 190E... The swede's know how to party...
  19. Notice... They're now shiny. They're obviously chemically treated. They're used by people chemically treated (at least three of them have some sorostitute ties... unless the masses have a massively decaying IQ only to be replaced by shiny fingers (SHINY AGAIN!)) I rest my case.
  20. You are all going to have my cars eat me out of house, home, a stable income, and any chance of retirement. God bless you all.
  21. Revo's are the next most popular thing to Minilites in the Mini community. I got a set (of both) at a mini swap meet. Since they're so plentiful, a good set, even a good knockoff set from england aren't that pricey.
  22. It's the market they're catering to. MB and BMW tend to have more business like sites with more readily accessible technical information, for those ancient old yuppies that for some reason need to know that their new 7 series or S class does indeed weigh more than Jupiter. Chevrolet and Government Motors is trying to pitch to the 'younger' generation. That is the generation that is retarded and as such likes two things... Shiny things, and anything chemically treated (the mall, Sorority girls, McDonalds, Bud Light, basically anything that is bad) ...kind of like fish really.
  23. Oh God, where do I start... The entire footwells of the car were made from fiberglass/easy foam. He didn't have an R200 moustache bar, so he drilled holes and forced it into place using the front mount to hold it there. Every possible seal had RTV on it, even the damn HG The wiring was all wrong. When it was "redone" he used indoor speaker wire for the world. Apparently it's cool to put 2-3 B+ lines into one switch. Why I do not know. The head was torqued to about 250 ftlbs. The bolts where throw-aways as was the head I found out. He couldn't press the U joints in far enough because he got a little pin stuck under the cap, so instead of doing it right he beat it in there and then didn't put the little c-clips on it. He apparently couldn't make the little cut in the front of the trans tunnel shifter hole so he just used a BFH to make it fit, sort of. The rust in the car was stright painted over, not prepped, not anything, just painted over. I'm sure there was more.
