  1. getZs, I took off the entire 6 mm at the end of axles and did away with the end snap rings and that did the trick. Been drive the car for the past 500 miles at speeds above 120 with no problem. Both axles sliped right in with no issues after this mod, the end snap rings are useless when installed on the S30...don't believe it will see enough slack to cause an issue.
  2. Are you getting spark from the coil? If not, check for proper ground to the coil...

    300ZXT CV Issue

Just got done cutting off the extra 1/4 inch off the end of each axle after flipping the race. No longer have an end clip to keep the spline from slipping out, but I can't see that happening considering how much binding I had before...
  4. I vote for as close to equal length as possible...no ac here. Put me down for one. Thanks.

    300ZXT CV Issue

I have had the same issue upon installing my 300zxt CV adapters from MM...almost impossible to turn the wheels after putting everything back together (and I did flip the ends around)...had to drop the driver's side lower control arm and us a floor jack to get it back into place in order to get the axle in. I current have everything apart for my LSD swap and I have been seriously thinking about grinding or cutting off that extra 1/4 inch up to the clip on both ends. GNOSEZ, let me know how it turns out if you go at it before I do. I find it hard to believe that MM did not see this as a problem when they created the adapter, even after flipping the ends; this set-up is about an inch too long on each side. It would be nice if they also offered a new shorter shaft for these adapters, at a discounted price:)
  6. I'm in Frankfort, about 30 miles south of Chicago. What was the cost and turn around time for the z shaft?
  7. Ok, that won't work, the 280zxt driveshaft has a 24 spline. Thanks again fellows. Ken
  8. Paid $699 for mine off ebay a few months ago (no axles) ...that's a gerat price.
  9. Does anyone know the spline count for the Z32 Trans, or better yet, will the 280zxt T5 driveshaft yoke fit the Z32 trans? Thanks. Ken
  10. Thanks for the lead Wheelman. Got the following response back from Viperredls1Z: " The Subaru rack WILL fit with the L6, you will have to cut away some of the motor mount for steering shaft clearance. if you have a high HP car you may want to reinforce it." Thanks again! Ken
  11. Anyone know if this set-up will work with the stock L28 in the S30? Do you think the larger rack will clear the oil pan???
  12. With a N42 head, that's unbelievable...what are you running for engine management?
  13. Should take about seven pounds of force by hand to move it, if it is a stock wastegate...
  14. Currently running a Spec II and love it, very streetable...

    R200 prices

Anyone want to sell an input pinion flange from a 280zx turbo r200. I would like to purchase one or swap for my NA 280zx r200 input pinion flange. I have done several want-adds with no success. Please let me know. Thanks. Ken Kashill@sbcglobal.net or 815 351-4790.
  16. Look great man, love the longer wires around the valve cover look, where can I get a custom set of those?
  17. Pyro, thanks for the tip, I currently have a cam from my '78 n47 head. I will try and get some before after dyno run when I swap it out. BTW, will the '78 cam hurt my low end/ off boost power?
  18. Aelady, Thanks for the lead; however, I finally heard back from the lead I got from the Turbonetics guys..."Deeds Performance" out in Cali. They are charging $200 including the return shipping and a two day turn around. Letitsnow, I need to retain my stock internal wastegate housing for my custom 3" downpipe. Got the turbo yesterday, looks really great with the polished compressor housing (T04E .60 ar/ 50 trim) and a very large stage III wheel, should be good for about 400hp I'm hoping. Will post a few pics when the rebored turbine housing returns.
  19. I would like to get my turbine housing bored out to accept a stage 3 turbine wheel to mate with my new T3/T04E hybrid so that I can maintain my stock wastegate and 3†downpipe. I have been searching for quite awhile and only found one lead that did not checked out (from Jason REDZ31.com site). Does anyone have a source or recommendation for getting this kind of work done? Thanks in advance. Ken
  20. Looks like I need a T04E with the 50 trim for my application. Question: How much of a difference does the compressor AR makes, or should I say, what is deciding factor when it comes time to choose the AR for the compressor housing? Do I need a .50 or a .60? Is the .60 physically bigger externally than the .50 whereas I might have clearance issues on my L28? Or is it same size externally but flows more air at the same efficiency as the .50 would with the same trim? Would like to nail this part right before I decide on the final spec’s. Thanks. Ken
  21. Try this link: http://www.mygen.com/users/dbruce/myz31/TurboMaps/VG30ET%20Engine%20Air%20Flow%20and%20Turbo%20Compressor%20Maps.htm
  22. Zero psi has to be an open/ bent valve.
