  1. Another thing I would check for is the ability to remove the tranny with the engine installed...Looks Great!!!

Job well done, looks pretty good...
  4. Should bolt right in but you will need the cross member from the '78 trans...
  5. You do not need the FCM, either of your two options should work just fine. Isn't there a fuel pump relay on the '83 harness...don't remember, its been a few years since I did the swap.
  6. That's it, too easy to stall in stop and go traffic, especially if it is your second car and the other car is also a stick with a dual mass flywheel.
  7. For a street car with 50% or more city driving, keep it OEM...currently running a Fid'z and it requires a little too much attention around town.
  8. Let me know if you need a complete uncut '78 wiring harness...
  9. The only difference I'm aware of between the two trans is the starter mounting point on the bell housing...except for the pinion, the sensors should be the same.
  10. You only need the ECU and the MAF, the chopper wheel will not make a difference...
  11. Got mine from the local Nissan dealer...
  12. Take at look at big phill's video about 4 minutes in....
  13. not a direct swap, I believe the spline is a little different...
  14. Here are a few pic's I took during the install:
  15. Man don't say soooo....but you may be right because I had a tough time getting those seals in and was afraid that I may have damaged one of them after pounding it in...son of a %!^@#, that's got be it!
  16. I have a used set collecting dust somewhere that I can send you if you need...very easy to replace. They were in pretty good condition IICR, replaced them when I was installing my Spec II clutch kit just because...just pay for shipping.
  17. Jacob, I read your post and thought I rote it...currently having the same issue after building my 3.1 and installing one of those super duper MSA gasket and taking special care to clean and straightening out the bolt holes on the pan. The only difference is, my leak is coming from the rear and dripping off the gear box on the passenger side (could it be the rear seal???).
  18. Currently running a spec II w/ Fidanda and luv it! No issues at all, easy grab, light clutch pedal and it holds all the way to red line.
  19. I can send you a T5 and r200 for $200 plus shipping...both were in good running condition when removed from my car. Ken
