  1. Bump from the dead, but emailed!
  2. Screw the market value and investment. I bought mine to have fun. And fun I shall have. It's a shame to see an L-series that's good for so many reliable miles sit in a garage and collect dust because it'll be worth something some day. That sickens me.
  3. Carbon Fiber... Orlando.... Count me in! I want to come by and help, haha.
  4. That Z looks too clean to roadkill... Want to trade shells? lol.
  5. After looking, I really just need the driver's headlight bucket. The hood would be nice, but I can take the two I have and make one sort-of-decent one. That and my fender can be saved. I'll happily pay shipping for a headlight bucket, just a matter of finding one!
  6. Like the title says... I got into a fender bender, and need just those parts. If anyone in FL has them laying around, please message me! I have good/clean parts I can trade/have cash to buy.
  7. Finally finished my turbo install! Had a bum ignitor, so I followed skittle's write up on the HEI module and she fired right up! Until I realized my distributor shaft was off a tooth. Moved it, and bam! Set the idle to 750, TPS adjusted, Timing on point... She flies! So happy. The bump in compression with the n42/n42 is noticeable, but I'm going to keep it at the stock 7psi... Seems plenty for what I do with the car. I'm really happy my AFM hard pipe worked out. That, and I decided to use the Turbo valve cover. The black is so much more subtle.
  8. Yeah, I ended up doing 3 instead of 4 mounts, but learned really quick with the ABS why 4 is a good idea! I have another sheet and some change for one more... But it's a hassle debating whether or not I want to drill into a clean hatch. heh. My last one was rotted pretty bad. Ever thought of doing a turbo swap? No idea if FP allows it, but I managed to scoop everything but the block for a mere $400... Turbo is perfect, and the rest just needed to be cleaned... But a super solid/cheap way to give it more umph! I'm running an N42/N42 combo, and really only plan to keep it under 10psi, especially with tearing the car down as light as I can get it. Should be more enough around an autox course to hurt some ego's! Although, I could only imagine how well a healthy L28e runs at 2000lbs! That must be so much fun!
  9. I have to jump in and say I followed your build on ratsun, even attempted a rear spoiler build following what you did! I love how it went off the deep end, and kicks butt even with a basically stock n/a L28!
  10. Keeping on with the Z or trading for a miata crosses my mind daily. It's a tough choice.
  11. Magnum, what would you want for the 4 remaining injectors?
  12. My last 280ZT I had had an N42 non-egr intake without a heat shield with all the heat soak issues. I wrapped the fuel rail, added a turbo blanket, and re-installed a heat shield. Did the trick for me. This was during the summer in FL last year. If you take your time wrapping the fuel rail, it actually looks half decent in the bay.
  13. It's almost there! Just been a slow progression with limited time on the weekends/after work. Just trying to take my time and make sure everything is right.
  14. Man... I should have left my valve cover black... DOH.
  15. My current state of swap madness: Still have to swap out the oil pan, run a few vacuum hoses, install the cleaned injectors and rail, and wire this puppy in. My favorite thing is the 3 inch MAF to turbo inlet pipe I made allowing me to keep the oem PCV setup and carbon canister. Also moves it to in front of the radiator, saving me a headache of trying to fudge it into the bay.
  16. I actually have to do my oil pan gasket (and swap the pan out with a turbo pan... hehe) next week... So I'm all over your progress. I personally am going to use indian head gasket sealer when I do my gasket to keep it in place, and help it seal. As far as the oil pickup tube, I don't see why you couldn't use the paper gasket material and cut a new one, as long as you cut it cleanly and make sure nothing can break off and go for a swim. I could be wrong though, so maybe others will chime in. Personally, if it didnt break into bits when you removed it, I'd just re-install it and give it a very light bump in bolt torque. Not Hulk kind of torque, just an extra bump.
  17. Your Z takes the cake as one of my favorites! The execution is perfect.
  18. Maybe the newer tokiko springs are progressive, but the ones I have (supposedly Tokikos, They were new old stock) are definitely not progressive.

I have a set of really... Really clean turbo swastikas (I also have 3 dirty ones that can be used as spares). I'd happily meet with you (I'm in Orlando) and sell you 6 of them for $400. If you're interested.
