  1. Check voltage. You do need a full 12v to the box. Next the box has to have a very good ground where it is mounted to the body. A supplemental ground is good too. Did you get the plug in harness for that box also? Good idea.

  5. Quite a few years back I noticed the rear studs on my 240 were longer than the fronts. I got 8 longer studs from nissan motorsports for the rear hubs. (pricey) I then took the origional longer rear studs and installed them in the front hubs. Worked just right for what I needed. There was no nissan Quest at that time.

  7. Based on the price given here: http://www.rpmrons.com/Nissankits.html That would be a good price I think.
  8. Yes, I agree. Make sure to check with her on a regular basis to see if she needs help on anything that needs to be done. She may not have children of her own that live in the area.

  11. Correct, most of these types of shops have poor cash flow due to too many long term projects. Your money too often funds other needs. Do what John says and retrieve your car asap. Stop the bleeding.
  12. Yes, what I gathered was he had a 15A 220V and a 30A 220V piece of equipment. That equipment would each have a different plug configuration and cord guage size. Thus he could not just unplug one and plug in the other. This is why I mentioned a welder breaker and a compressor breaker.
  13. The compressor also needs its own breaker. If it runs on 220V then you will a 2 pole 15 amp breaker for it. That is 4 spaces you will need. Still can be done. You also can even pick up a 4 circuit sub panel and feed it from the garage panel.

  15. On the Z cars, the ball joints on the front struts play an important role. This is where your lower strut pivots. If they are dry and worn you can figure on hard steering. I would look there.

  17. For 1970 240Z to early 1974 260Z. The correct part numbers are 8641-1031 front and 8641-1032 rear. I have no idea what that number you have is for. I paid $430.00 for all four. And that was 15 years ago. They still work like the day I put them in.
