  1. I honestly don't think they changed through the years. I know the pedal sets for the clutch and brake are exactly the same for the 70-78 or at a minimum the 73 pedals will fit in the 78 with no problem.
  2. Doh! That was not directed to you. That was for the others who were like me!
  3. Was watching one of the NASCAR race crashes and it was interesting to watch them immediately cross their arms and hold them as close to their body as possible.
  4. For those who had one shipped could you estimate the box size it came in? Was it rolled up? I have heard they could be shipped that way. Thanks!
  5. Nice. On te iPhone just switch tothe full version at the bottom of the page. Give u all the options.
  6. Very nice find. I love those mud flaps too!
  7. Hey John not sure if you saw these or not. http://www.reactionresearch.com/dash.htm
  8. I'd sell my Urethane one for $100 plus shipping.
  9. I think it looks good as well. It's a little high but not bad.
  10. Just in case your ignorant like I was and then too lazy to search:
  11. I might suggest joining and posting this over at z31performance as well.
  12. First, your pics are not showing up. Second there are nuts on studs that hold the bottom of the intake manifold on as well as hold the header on. I would secure it first with all the nuts and then see how it runs. EDIT: If memory serves me correctly the red circles share holding the intake on:
  13. I have a turbo valve cover but will fit on S30 for $30 plus shipping.
  14. So how many of you remember riding in the back of Z as a kid? My sister always got the front and I got stock in the back. Wasn't too bad until I got older.
  15. If you moved some of that motorcycle "crap" out of the way you would have more room in the garage! Just ask the wife to park outside for awhile.
  16. Well said! Funny I had bought an 88 300zxt thinking exhaust fumes, what's that? Sure enough sometimes almost as bad as the early Z. I still say own a nearly stock Z of some sort and then have a project Z. It has really allowed me to get my driving fix and tinker when I feel like it.
  17. No, that is the electrical side. You need the tumbler (key) side. Check Junk yards or post in the WTB section for a complete set. Figure 100 + for a complete set unless you don't mind two keys. Or you could buy the maxima push button conversion. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/98889-daves-new-startstop-button-ignition-system/
  18. ^^^ Yep to me too. Just don't mix ignition problems up with Fuel Injection problems. Too different animals.
  19. Sounds reasonable to me. Offer what you think won't offend him. I usually shoot for 60% of the asking price. Bring cash, put that offer in one pocket and the rest in the other. When you go to make your offer pull it out and say I'll give you $600 and show it to him. When they counter, which they usually will, review all the problems and how much your going to have spend. Then wait, re-look over the car again and then counter his offer with your next. If he takes the $600, you know you should have offered $400. My last car I bought for 1K with a 2K asking price. Sometimes it works other times it doesn't. I think I get just as much of enjoyment out of the purchase as I do the car itself. It's a game. To me most of the stuff I buy I don't need so I have no problem walking away. If it's not advertised sometimes it's the best bet to walk away and come back later.
  20. I just insured my 88 300zxt with Hagerty for $165 for the year. Agreed value price of $3500 w/ a $1K deductible. I was just looking for cheap insurance so I could drive the car. Grundy is cheaper though ($125) but they wouldn't insure the 88 for some reason. Customer service wasn't nearly as good either. There is no mileage restriction any more. There used to be but both Hagerty and Grundy stated they never had this? It used to be 5K per year. Just call and double check. I did the quote online and there is no place where they ask you for mileage, Grundy or Hagerty. You can't drive it from work or regular errands but I'm sure there is some grey area!
  21. So was the final amount $4400 still?
  22. LOL! Yep, tell me about it! I remember those days very well. Tomorrow will be 19 years for me and my bride. She is a definite keeper. I guess the best attribute is she just leaves me alone. Doesn't complain much when I run to the JY or bring another car home. Granted, any money spent is money I've earned outside of my normal 9-5.
