  1. Not sure about the fuel pump or the reving. Did you mess w/ any electronics / wiring? It is quite possible you got a bad WP from the parts store. I know I've had them. If I recall there is a little hole on the bottom of the pump and if it's worn it will leak through that hole. It is also possible you didn't clean all the old gasket material off the front cover before you put the new gasket on and it is leaking through the seal. Or you could have a completely new issue if the old pump was leaking. If that was the pressure relief before and you seal that up, it is quite possible you have a new failure somewhere else because the pressure has come up and now leaking elsewhere.
  2. That's a full blown race car, but interesting none the less.
  3. I'm kind of stuck on www.hybridz.org myself!
  4. I'll sell mine for $8500 if anyone is interested.

  6. Turned out to be an 86 I was hoping at least 87 but the body wasn't as nice as the pics.
  7. I don't think it works right. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?p=916922 I tried with the advanced google search "Exact Phrase search" and your post did not come up at all.
  8. Good to know. The timing belt broke. Most likely a few bent valves.
  9. Yes I've seen this via searching, just not anyone who actually installed an older L6 into a 300zx. Thanks though.
  10. Thanks guys. I've not seen this reverse swap. I'm checking out the car tomorrow. I'm hoping it is at least a real 87 Turbo for the rear end alone. It's started out as $1500 car w/ a blown motor and now down to $500, will see.
  11. I searched this way and that, but didn't find anyone who put an L6 into a 300zx. I've seen the L6 post into the 240sx, but was wondering why not into a 300zx. I'm looking at a 300zx turbo w/ a blown motor and was curious if you could go V6 to L6? Could the stock 300zx wiring and electronics be used to run the L6? Issues w/ firing order? Fitment?
  12. I think the one guy has his priorities in life mixed up. Hey I can change an engine in 42 seconds, but who needs front teeth! It kinda looked like when the put the engine at first the guy underneeth was like, "get this thing off of me"!
  13. I'm with you! I've got pile of parts and still compiling. I think i'm even going to get it running on stand first before I even try to install.
  14. I don't think you can. You car has a AFM or Air flow meter http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_flow_meter Not a MAF or Mass AirFlow Sensor http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_airflow_sensor
  15. Why not grab some used Volvo injector connectors from your local JY?
  16. Joe, Very nice build going. I'm not knocking your decision or your 810 needs, but why would step back and use a stock N42 (or modified) instead of building a plenum for the ITB setup you have to use with the Turbo conversion?
  17. Nice build you have going. I'm 99% sure the 240z seats will work in the 280z. The seat slider brackets are different. You will need to remove the 240z sliders and use the 280z. From memory, the distance between the bolts should be 13 x 13 on center. I sold my old 240z seats to a someone who had a 75 280z and we measured before he bought them. I would verify before purchasing.
