  1. I like to think that everyone does stupid things, however smart people learn from those stupid things and don't repeat them. Perhaps he is just an idiot. HA.
  2. I thought I liked speed. After watching that it turns out I don't. HA!
  3. I was thinking surely they have an lsd from the factory! Then I realised the smoke was coming from the front of the car. What an idiot. Pretty sad if your clutch has worn out so badly after 8000 miles that you can't even break traction. He must drive his car like a granny.
  4. Ron, What is the belt driven device on the driver's side of the engine? Zbuff's photo shows what looks like an alternator bracket on the passenger side so I don't suspect it is that.
  5. Did you guys click on the link provided? It is a detailed write-up of what the guy did.
  6. Oh, my mistake. Thanks for pointing that out, I thought it was like one of those engine girdles but just ridiculously over-killed. I assume if you didn't use liners that there would be a problem with a step change in the cylinder bore if the pieces didn't heat evenly? Also, I should have known as there are no water passages etc to get water to the head.
  7. Not mine. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,4025.0.html Final outcome
  8. So is the block cut down by 2 inches? Also after all this machine work, you are going to get to the point where you have basically built the whole engine. HA.
  9. I am normally always function over form, but man I like the look of the standard front end. Whoops, did I just say that? I might have to go sign up to zcar with those sort of comments.
  10. Wow, going to have to have a play with some of these, thanks for the help and sorry for clogging up the thread.
  11. So how do you get that clamp looking arrangement tool on both sides of the panel? Or do you use a hammer/dolly arrangement like with rivets? Thanks for the info, might have to look into these a bit more.
  12. Madkaw, What are you using to hole the floor pan to the car (Asking about those protruding bolt/magnet looking things). Cheers.
  13. That wouldn't be pretty. HA.
  14. All he needs now is to hook it up as a flush button as well. 1st gear for full flush, 2nd gear for half flush. HA!
  15. Thanks for the feedback guys, I was starting to think no one liked what I had done. Little bit of praise goes a long way in motivation. Cheers Brad
  16. Someone on another forum requested indicator shots. It comes out a little whiter/yellower due to the darkened indicators. One day I might lighten them a touch.
  17. Ok, made a few changes. Matt printed paper, indicators moved down and darkened. Didn't take an indicator photo, but it is much more defined now because I put two sheets of transparency behind the photo. Also better night photo.
  18. I read the first post thinking you had done this to a stock gauge. My first thought was, you will never see the gauge as they are too poorly lit to begin with, but that looks pretty cool. So, are you always going to have the LED on? Can't imagine that you will be able to read it in the day time without it.
  19. Isn't the video with your bonnet opening, predominantly showing air entering the engine bay? The wool moves left to right but doesn't really appear to come back out of the engine bay.
  20. I wonder why they chose to have the gtr beat the 911. Does the nurburgring gtr vs 911 battle come to mind. HA! Great video by the way.
  21. Can I ask what the large silver cable (with what looks like an inline fuse) is doing? Looks a like it is joining a distribution board and a small wire.
  22. Looking good mate. I had the same tacho in my 260z that you are talking about (Inductive loop kind). I decided to buy a new tacho (VDO) but wasn't happy that it didn't look original. So I came up with this. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=157065
  23. You mentioned earlier that it couldn't possibly have been a wiring issue because you were using a factory un altered wiring loom and didn't change anything. Now you mention replacing plugs. Come on mate, there is definitely room for mistakes there.
  24. At that rate, you can do my job for me.
