  1. Can I ask why you would want a RHD car when you drive on the wrong , I mean right side of the road? Also, if you need specific photos, let me know. My car is all together at the moment, but may still be able to get some RHD photos if you need them. Brad
  2. No we didn't, but we did get RB30s. And RB engines of most descriptions are relatively easy to get. Not as cheap as your LSxs but still a reasonably priced upgrade.
  3. Yeah those bogans look like they just stepped out of the 80s. I would like to say that we don't let people like that out of tasmania, but unfortunately it would not be true.
  4. I'm still trying to work out which way the car is meant to be driving. HA!
  5. More of a documentary then a movie, I enjoyed it. Also have more respect for Eric Bana after seeing it, seems like a pretty nice, well grounded guy. Don't want to ruin it for anyone (and I don't think I am buy saying this), but my favourite line comes from Doctor Phil. He says something along the lines of "You need to fix that car, take it from a professional, that will be CHEAP therapy".
  6. Couple of us in Australia have L28et. Check out viczcar.com By the way, steering shaft and brake boosters clear well on a rhd car. Plenty of room. There are some engine bay photos here http://s133.photobucket.com/albums/q63/garvice/ Also, this is the wrong forum to get your back up when people tell you to search. (Rule number 12) Search, search, then when your head hurts, search some more.
  7. It would also make cleaning a pain in the but, not to mention trying to repair a damaged panel. It is hard enough getting metal straight, yet alone getting it straight and then having to re-dimple the surface. That would be a body shops worst nightmare. EDIT: Just reread my post and realised that I did mention
  8. HA! That is great, thanks for posting.
  9. Cool! They are currently not showing it for the metric gauges, but I am sure they could do it for them. Might have to get one of these when I go to the new transmission, but that means I am going to need to change my tacho too to match. Damn what a shame
  10. I must have had my blinkers on. Just had a look at the engine bay thread in the L series forum and there are heaps of cars that have them. My car has the hole in the radiator support (used for intercooler piping now) but no hole in the fender. Is anyone able to tell me what it is?
  11. What are the air ducts going from the front of the car through the engine bay into the fender? Do they feed air to the brakes? Haven't seen them before but they look very stock (maybe I have just never taken notice of them). You can see them in these photos
  12. I went to the drags http://forums.hybridz.org/showpost.php?p=1075879&postcount=92 Got some wolf creek racing cvs coming http://www.wolfcreekracing.com/wcrcvhalfshaftaxlekit.pdf Got a Z32 gearbox all machined up ready to go http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q63/garvice/IMG_3372.jpg Also been tracing all the wiring in my car to draw some schematics as I am contemplating a rewire using this (third one down) http://www.fdrive.com.au/products/09/cooper15301.php Just enjoying the car too much to take it off the road and actually do any of the work just yet.
  13. I was thinking the same thing. What I hate is electrical tape. Friction tape is ok, but the sticky electrical tape sucks big time. Only takes a few summers and when you go to unravel it, it is a big sticky mess. Hate the stuff.
  14. Loctite freeze and release will cool the stud if you need to heat the hub and cool the stud.
  15. Wiring stereo using BP connectors (These are for houses, they have no place in vibration environments). Wiring splices by twisting wire together and taping. Cutting holes for speakers. Few others, but I can't remember at the moment.
  16. I reckon Richard is speaking from experience. Do you still miss your 260 mate?
  17. There weren't enough options. I say keep it, enjoy it, and buy another 240z. Who cares if the new one is a ten year labour of love. You won't mind taking the time to do the new one right because you will still have a nice 240 to drive around in for now. I know it is a bit expensive doing it that way, but if you take your time the expenses will come, and the body work (rust repair/strengthening not paint) isn't really that expensive, just very time consuming.
  18. Dam, I was too slow to post. I have a cad file for a distributor cover if you want it. Not saying your incapable, seen through your posts that your more then capable, just thought it could make it quicker.
  19. On the end of the stud/bolt that you removed them from?
  20. Well, it is a 76 260z 2+2. So from what I can find the stock dry weight is 2630lbs. I have a larger exhaust, turbo, intercooler, Rx7 seats (weigh close to the same) so maybe another 50lbs (stab in the dark there). Liquids (5ltr oil, 40ltr petrol, 20ltr water?) 130lbs I weigh about 220lbs. So that is roughly 3030lbs. Using this ET calculator http://www.turbofast.com.au/Drag.html I need 240hp (not sure if this is wheels or engine) to get 100mph. And that should net me a theoretical 13.5second run. For those that are interested, I got my best run on youtube.
  21. Only have to tow it there, not back (Well unless you break something)
  22. Cheers for the photos, look like a good looking alternative.
