  1. wow, you kiwis are crazy. what we need is more of your type of kiwis coming over to australia.
  2. Photobucket works. Once you upload to photobucket, just copy the link from photobucket, hit the image button when posting and paste in the link.
  3. Especially when compare to house Demands. Most houses over here (Australia 230V) only have a 63 A (Older houses) or 80 A (Newer Houses) Main switch. So effectively, you will be able to pull more load using that than an entire house over here. I think you better upgrade your Electricity supply.
  4. damn, i hate dilemas like that. I had a similar dilema when I was looking at buying my Z. There were no good Z's for ages, then all of a sudden a mechanically/electrically excelent z came up that needed body work and a good bodied car with not quite as good turbo engine (at least electrically and mechanically) came up with a very good body. Man it was a killer. Like you I only had money for one, and over hear it was 14k for 1 and 12k for the other. From a purely nostalgic point of view i would go with the 240 and keep it L series. (I know, this isn't a pureset website, but i didn't say, don't modify the L series) Perhaps go turbo or big NA stroker (I think that would be my next project, if I ever get this one back on the road).
  5. so did I. LOL. Though, I can't tout any references like your mate, just someone who has gone through a similar event.
  6. I can try and get you a picture this weekend. But from what I remember, I don't think the camera will be able to take a photo of it (Too short a distance for my camera with no room to see what I am doing). Don't believe all the hype people say about them not being interchangeable either. My hazard light flasher (the one that is bigger, size and current wise) has been in my turn signals place for ages now.
  7. That's retail for a new one. This is second hand and ???$
  8. No worries, sorry it wasn't more help.
  9. Derek, Not exactly sure what you wanted in way of photo's. So if these are no good just let me know and I'll try to get more. Not sure how well they will help you though, because I have carpet and vinyl panels on all mine. 10. You could always make your own set for much less in material, but once you factor in labour and the design you will be far more than $400 into the job. It really isn't that much for a nice new set of heavy guage frame rails. I'm just lucky mine are in good nick. Just posted at the same time as JohnC. $280 for frame rails is even better.
  11. mauisnow13, you're a champion, thankyou very much. How awesome is that.
  12. No it wasn't that one, although that is also cool. It was before that, probably a year ago.
  13. Wasn't Darius. Wasn't the 240 vs R1 video either. Forgot to mention, it was an L series (I believe Turbo) engine.
  14. Ok, I have searched on HybridZ, I have searched on You Tube, and I have searched hybridz from google. And Yet, I still can't find the thread. Basically, there was a thread titled something along the lines of Fast Z or Quick Z. It was a video taken from one car on the freeway of a Z. You hear the engine rev up but the car doesn't move any quicker. It is then that you realise that it is spinning it's wheels. All of a sudden it gets traction and just launches straight past the other car. Please help me guys, it is driving me nuts and I need to see it again. Cheers. I remember in the thread that there was something about his mate getting a new camera, so I tried searching on all things to do with a camera as well, still nothing.
  15. I was just about to say, yeah sure, then I realised my wife has our camera overseas. I will take a photo on saturday if no one has already.
  16. It's because you don't donate. Donate and they will magically go away. Well actually no they won't, but your donation will make you feel magically better about the world and you will not care about these stupid little errors. Plus it will go towards better equipment for the site. So stop being a tight _ _ _ _ like I was for the first 2 years of my membership.
  17. I used to like my corolla until i saw that
  18. That's incredible. Trust the germans to think of that. Actually he didn't sound german at all. Still incredible though.
  19. Hi guys and girls, I am trying to find out if anyone has used heat shrink thermal printers before? In particular I am looking at the cheap ones from Rhino (~US$50 for printer, ~US$25 for 5' of tubing). http://cableorganizer.com/dymo-replacement-labels/ Anyone used this type of label for cables? Does it fade, like the old thermal paper printers? Are there better options to labeling cables (I am thinking in particular for cables to the ECU or cables in the engine bay). Thanks in advance.
  20. Wow, that is cool. Well done, someone please by this now and get the temptation out of my way. Please. EDIT: Man I'm an idiot, these are obviously for a 2 seater. oh well, at least I don't have to worry about not buying them now.
  21. Bear in mind that mine is an australian delivered car, so things may be backwards. My hazard flasher was easily seen when looking under the dash at the drivers side. However the blinker flasher was harder to see, actually I don't think I could even see it, I had to reach around and feel till I found something cold, can shape with an L shape plug. I believe it was closer to the outside of the car under the drivers dash. Hope that helps, If you get really stuck there are threads on here and on zcar with more details. I am still using my hazard flasher as a blinker flasher.
