  1. Desert Car Kings on Discovery is a much better show. At least I like the finished products they come up with. The only silly trauma/drama thing I have seen so far is a rattlesnake in the wrecking yard..... brings all their operations to a stop. These guys have been in the business in Phoenix for 30 years and don't know how to deal with a snake? Come on! bunch of little girls!
  2. J.C. Whitney used to sell them for all cars in the 1970's. Right between shag van interiors and "Blinky" cat turn signal lights. rates pretty well on the lame category.
  3. lots on Brian's site: http://www.lainefamily.com/240Z_V8_Conversion.htm
  4. NEAPCO 2-2-899-1 for R200s thru 1978 (except 1975).
  5. Since they were made in Richmond, that probably is the end of the trail....
  6. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/97577-throw-out-bearing-differences/page__p__916234__hl__collar__fromsearch__1#entry916234 Did the whole shebang include the correct collar for that pressure plate?
  7. I wonder which board you post on to borrow the jet.....
  8. The parts in the foreground look like the Modena Spyder 250. That kit was later made by a company in Phoenix. Bueller? Bueller?
  9. I can not believe he didn't have "dub" in that list.
  10. The bellhousing won't work on a V8, and the '96 V6 Camaro trans has a "vertical Ford" style bolt pattern between the trans-bellhousing. Plus all the internal differences that Dan mentioned.
  11. After my time in the saddle. Here is my original - (unless you count that hand-me-down girl's Schwinn Hollywood) Check out the console-mounted shifter!
  12. http://www2.zhome.com:81/History/SSZ.htm delving off-topic, but here is the relevant issue; standard eqipment includes: "Viscous LSD"
  13. Ummmmm..... How does the gas pedal / steering wheel / dash gage wiring connect?
  14. If you don't need a back seat...small Nissan / Toyota / Dodge / Ford pickups rock.
  15. Are you sure you didn't reverse the "IN" and "OUT" ports of the regulator(s)?

    Proximity sensor?

Really old school low-tech: http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=CH409-ND I saw something like this on a custom van in the 1970s. The builder had a magnetic reed switch hidden under a cup holder on the dash. Just carried a small magnet on his keychain, and casually dropped it into the cup holder, closing the hidden switch.
  17. http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/vi/Misc/faq/faq_asm.htm Go ahead and swap! If its anything like my projects it will be 2015 before you are ready to drive it and your 1991 will be exempt from testing.
  18. A remote to control stoplight timing, so the lights are always green in your direction of travel?
