  1. honing tool is not gonna happen. you better let that sucker sit all night and hope it bores it out the next morning. flap wheels might work though! on skibs pic posted, i used finer ones like 2 and 3 and it works decent, just have to be patient and move your hands constantly. im planning to do my 2jz manifold with the same ones in pic above to finish off my runners.
  2. 954rr doesnt matter, any ls1 z is worth so much more on top. you can buy two 954rr with a ls1z. a bike can be fully built, its still sits in the same blue book value of a factory bike unless you call it get what i want. i traded my old 75 280z lt1 t56 for a almost new 06 ninja 636 back in 07. this one i scored.
  3. i seen one at the local pick n pull in a 77 280z the other day in almost mint condition. the whole car was almost perfect. dash was off and ac unit just sitting there all intact, looks like the one on the left in above pic. i thought about yanking the ac under unit but i was already burning too much cash.
  4. you make me miss my zx6r 636. sold it for good reasons. one too many tickets! seriously, im not hating either but any overweight chick in back of you holding you is uncomfortable and makes it scary to turn or even accelerate because you might just flip. damn, that sounds bad. god forgive me.
  5. have you tried porting wheels instead of rotary? im not sure what you mean by rotary file but my rotary wheels are corse and takes off bits instead of shaving.
  6. lol, i took it as L(large) as the same sticker that comes on my shirt! lol. i never seen any stickers on all the cross drills i have purchased in the past.
  7. WRONG!!! i think some misunderstood my question. i just went outside and put my hub against my rotors 4x114.3 holes and the hub bolt pattern(hub) in no way the same as the stud pattern. it is smaller!!! so both is different in pattern. 4x114.3 in wheel stud pattern and 4x??? in hub bolt hole pattern. its not as easy as some may think(me). i heard people saying they use regular spacers but the back of the hub is bigger so you cant just get any wheel spacers and put it on because the factory hub is way bigger than an average wheel spacer hub bore. i guess my question wasn't clear.
  8. can you seriously not just cut up the original one and make a new bottom out of sheet metal and mig the thing up to meet your needs? 800 for a pan is insane.
  9. damn, i would just put a seat in it and drive it like that. too nice to cover it all up!!! im 165lbs and alot of guys are in the 200lbs. im already ahead of the weight game!!! j/k. yes it does add up but anything having to make it comfortable is going to add weight regardless. i really wonder how big of a difference this is going to make on his car?
  10. get the diff for me and ship for 300.00? still making a profit!!!
  11. oh, i meant 4x100 as the spacer bolt size as it looks to be smaller then the 4x114.3 when measure. is it 4x114.3 and 4x114.3 either bolt pattern?
  12. i also would like to know this. i hear people using spacers from pep boys etc. but if i recall, the bolt pattern for the hub bolts are different from the wheel stud pattern so maybe they are using 4x100 spacers?
  13. ok, so far i seen two rotors with the L (large) logo on it! and Nzeder, did you drilled those rotors or where did you get the double pattern rotors?
  14. looks like alot of work. you gotta really love a z to spend this kind of time to make one all aluminum.
  15. i usually take a ♥♥♥♥ before i hit the track. shaves off a good 5 pounds! j/k. 35lbs is nothing on a street car!
  16. i cant wait to get it done either, but school starts for me soon so it will be a very very slow progress when march hits. i had plan to get her running by 2011 but work and school now gives me only weekends to work on it so maybe 2012? arghhh... however i got alot done on the suspension and brakes since the last pic.
  17. damnnnnn, this s**t made me laugh my ass off. i wonder if its real? funniest picture i seen in a long time.
  18. are you redrilling the rear deja? or whats your plan for the rear? im so tempted to convert over to 5 lug also but it already hurts my pocket to just buy some cheap 5x114.3 rollers to push my car around the garage as it has no engine. lol.
  19. just took my old ones off earlier and it says 10.5mm is minimum thickness.
  20. oh, you have one of those bushing/center type mounts.
  21. man, should i just leave mine alone? my under car does look better than the average z. maybe ill try to pull those suckers when i build me a spindle puller. im in the process of sectioning struts and replacing bushings in the area too. hopefully it works for me. so far my stub axle nuts came out decent!!!
  22. if you dont mind buying tires, id say keep it like that. its original jdm style! that red z looks pretty damn clean.
  23. if im correct, i saw 2 300zx earlier models n/a with the 5 lug hub like 280zcar posted at pick n pull last weekend, i looked at it for a good 15-20 mins. i checked at work and notice the turbo rotors are set up different and the n/a 5 lug has the same 5 tabs for the hub to bolt onto again like 280zcar's. or maybe someone just entered the wrong info into my work computer? the turbo rotors im looking at is perfectly round inside and out without the 5 tabs inside for the hub bolts.
  24. damn, as much as i enjoy a/c in the hot summer days, i dont think i can make this happen in my z. do you guys know if all s30 under dash a/c evaporators etc. are all the same?
