  1. http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=1131 i found this in literally two seconds. look below the photo for comments and details on the wheels. they're 19's.
  2. you may try a search on the user name to see if he has posted details on the wheels . as for the air dam, it's made by kaminari. http://www.zcarparts.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=50-1422&Category_Code=7AD1
  3. Agreed. Ross will help you determine the appropriate spring rates based on what you are using the car for.

  5. definitely not msa or victoria british. try ebay. i just recently bought a complete set for $120. the sets you usually find there are used, but occasionally you will run across new ones. any 1.5" fuel pressure gauge with 1/8" NPT fitting will fit. summit and jegs have them listed. http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=1597&prmenbr=361 i bought a metal strip at home depot that i will be cutting and bending to fit. i have the jsk rail, too, but haven't installed it yet. still waiting on fittings and braided line...
  6. yes, there is. searching ebay by 240z or 280z gives those results. they're pretty much always there, but this is the last set of hp's i'll need or i would go the ebay route. granted, i could get the fronts for just a little bit more, i simply don't need them. i'll be going to coilovers soon on my 240 and will end up with a complete set of basically new 240 hp's left over... illuminas are listed for a great deal under the same search, as well.
  7. thanks, i just picked up a set of hp3013's for the rear suspension update on my daily driver 280 for $128.36. i was about to make that purchase through vb and am very happy for paying a lower amount and getting free shipping. thanks greatly!!
  8. when was your car manufactured? it may be the later '73 were the only ones.
  9. i have one i would give you if you were closer... i'm in alpharetta, ga, north of atlanta.
  10. sorry for the late reply. i've had jury duty all week and into next week. i mounted my bar to the rear suspension, but only slid one endlink bolt through the bottom bushing and through the bar. even with shortening the endlinks, it appeared there was potential for interference. i would prefer to install a bar that is mounted in the front and not have to worry about it. a friend of mine recently did the same conversion on his '71 and didn't reinstall his rear-mounted bar for the same reason. if i get a chance, i will attempt to remount it in the next week or so. i took a pic of the same friend's early '74 260Z over the weekend: as opposed to the other pics i took, this pic was taken while kneeling down next to the driver's side rear tire. the uprights on the early 260Z were in the same location and orientation as on my '73 240. so Nigel, it makes sense that a 260 bar would work fine on a 240, given that the bar is shaped such that it curves around the front control arm bushing bolts of the rear suspension assemblies. the only problem is that this is a rare bar and my friend won't let his go. so... um... anyone got... a spare 260 bar that looks like the one above?
  11. shot taken from the driver's side
  12. no, i'm aware of the different styles of bars that suspension techniques sells and what those differences are. i have heard of others claiming that the 280 kit's rear bar would fit on a '73 240, and upon visual inspection and noting that the mounts were there for the rear bar to go in front of the control arms, i thought that it would fit as others have said. i originally put an aftermarket bar (i believe it's an addco bar) on my '73 that mounted behind the diff. since updating my stock u-jointed half-shafts to the z31 cv's, i can't use that bar due to interference between the end links and the cv's. it appeared that a front-mounted bar wouldn't interfere with the cv's. i was planning to put the bar i took off my '73 on my '78 and then putting the new 280 bar on my 240. no dice. i've heard from numerous people that the 280 kit rear bar will fit on a '73. i'm just trying to point out that it's not a direct bolt on in my case. i'll probably relocate the mounts, moving them to be in the same location as they are on a 280, to get the 280 bar to fit on my car.
  13. awesome work, man! looking forward to seeing it and hearing it in person sometime!
  14. hmm, that's what color i'm going to have my '78 280 painted. my 240 is painted bmw titanium silver, and had the tail light surrounds and the front fairlady grill painted the bmw steel grey. i liked the color so much it's going on the 280. bmw colors are great8-) my suggestion would be a silver or dark blue color.
  15. interesting, indeed. i'm not saying they weren't on your parts car, but there is no way that the suspension techniques rear bar will fit on my '73 car as the bar and the mounts currently are. here is what the mounts look like on my '73: here is what the suspension techniques 280 bar looks like: here is what my dirty '78 280, with the stock bar still installed, looks like (my '76 is the same): i'll look at my friend's '74 260 this weekend. i took pics of the '73 and the '78 cars while laying next to the passenger side rear wheel of each car. you can easily see that the mount of the 240 is in a different location, further to the rear of the car. it's even oriented in a different direction. the only way it would fit on my '73, such that it will clear the control arm bushing bolts, is either: if it were shaped like this crude ms paint edit suggests... or by relocating the mounts to be where they sit on the later cars.
