    Muffler of choice?

    quoted for truth. xr-1.
  2. after looking at the 'scarab zrx', i now know, as i suspected all along, that tim's car is worth $400K
  3. not sure exactly what he did up front (probably 5 lug z31 hubs like everyone else) but he has a four link and ford 9" according to the ad. that would explain the 5 lugs in the rear: here's the actual ad on autotrader: http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/8/9/73078389.htm when i was thinking about using those wheels, i was thinking about coilovers and 17x7 fronts, 17x9 rears for mine. i wish i could afford to go as far as this guy did.
  4. nixcars was doing a 240sx/200sx install in his s30: from this thread: http://hybridz.org/nuke/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=12905&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
  5. now that's just sexy... i've been wanting to use those same wheels...
  6. Dude' date=' is that Ellen Degeneres in the middle!?[/quote'] i was more intrigued by what subdermal was doing with enigma from jim rose circus and the other two.
  7. i have a saris rack for mine. i bought it for an '86 cavalier and it went on my z just as easily.
  8. looks great! i was thinking of using the same size tires on mine when i replace my 255/60's.
  9. i'm a fan of the molded-in rear spoiler on your's, as well. it was one of the first things i noticed when i first saw pics of your car i also like the grey centers on your turbo wheels.
  10. this is my favorite of my car: I'll like it even more when it's back in the car
  11. it's not a bad looking piece, but with the stock style bumper on the rear of that car, it looks out of place. i dont care at all for the bumper detail. i do like the driving lights, though, and the price isn't bad. i think i'll stick with the kaminari air dam, though.
  12. i called Legendary Cars just now and they apparently had a fire in their warehouse and had told JC Whitney that the hood was no longer available. the guy i spoke to says they still make this hood. the molds were not damaged for z's as they originally thought. the hood goes for $375 direct from Legendary cars. this is definitely a better price than JC Whitney.. i think last time i saw it in their catalog it was $475.
  13. when I bought mine from JC whitney around 3 years ago, it was around $400 + ~$80 for shipping. quality, packaging for shipment (really the best packed hood i've ever seen), fitment, etc, were excellent. i have absolutely no complaints with this hood and that's why i want them for my next 2 projects.
  14. but, this project is already finished, tim... and it even comes with the matching stepladder...
  15. 'Mark' on the boards here bought a set of panasport c8 17's for his car at around $2K for the complete set. Here is where he got his:
  16. yeah, they've never had a website... let us know the details of your call. i'm gonna need 2 more of those hoods, at least, within the next 6 months.
  17. that sucks... but, here is some info that may help if you still want the hood that jc whitney sold. its made by Legendary Cars, Inc: Legendary Cars Inc. 2065D Bunnell Road Warrington, PA 18976 (215) 491-1717
  18. the measurements i gave are what i use for my 240... but i wasn't thinking at the time that the front wheels on my 240 are 15x6... they have been off the car now for more than a year and a half... however, i used 15x7s all around on a previously owned 280 and it indeed had 4" BS as dalemx and z-ya pointed out. sorry for the misinformation guys... i wasnt thinking clearly. and 4.5" BS is indeed max on a 240 or 280 with stock suspension (i am thinking clearly at least about that part). the rear weld wheels in the pic in my sig are 15x8 with 4.5" BS.
  19. bump back up... i messed up the links in my original post. it's really worth checking out.
  20. not sure if this has been posted yet, but, this is from the show topgear in the UK and shows a toyota truck surviving quite a few surprising situations. it's about 15 minutes long and you will enjoy... oh yes. http://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear/downloads/hilux_broadband.ram it requires real player or the following http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Real_Alternative.htm to view.
  21. u should be able to use 3.5" backspacing for the fronts and 4.5" backspacing for the rears to be on the lip. depending on tire size and ride height, you may also have to roll the rear fender lips. good luck with the car and with new job prospects.
  22. that engine does sound pretty mean. my coworkers liked the commercial, too, hehe.
