Nice singing by garrett at the end. "Walk away..."
  5. I'm using 15x8 on the rear with 4.5" backspacing. My fronts are 15x6 with 3.5" backspacing.
  6. Both JTR and the hooker/scarab adapter kits use the same mounting location on the block, as well as the same chevy truck style mounts. The JTR kits has setback plates, as you noted with the pics/etc, whereas the hooker/scarab kit mount the engine farther forward than JTR. If you have a '70 or '71 car (might be '72, as well... depends on the transmission crossmember that's used), the hooker/scarab mounts do set the engine back slightly. For '72 and later, the mounts actually set the engine slightly forward. I had the hooker/scarab kit on my '73 and switched to the JTR setback adapters. The number 1 spark plug was about in line with the strut tower. I won't be using hooker/scarab mounts again, but I have a friend that has them in two of his cars and has had no issue/complaints. I just prefer the setback position. It takes a little more work to install with JTR, but I think the benefits are worth it. There are pics in my album linked in my signature showing how my 377 looked with the hooker kit. Pic 11 shows how far an HEI will sit from the firewall. Pics 208 and 218 kind of give an idea how far back it goes with JTR.
  7. Cool vid and the car looks great! It seriously gives motivation to get back to working on my silver car. :2thumbs:
  8. Got the strut assemblies and everything is just as you said:2thumbs: Thanks greatly for the items, as well as for all the status updates on shipping, etc.
  9. I was very skeptical at this car being 22k.... The ad lists it for 225K. I'm definitely a fan.
  10. I think PeteS hit it on the head. Your list is pretty short of things to do and you'll definitely get more for the car if you can finish those items... as well as have a detailed list (and pics) what's been done to the car. You don't mention suspension, brakes, etc. Not trying to burst any bubbles, but "everything has been gone through" is subjective and projects in the works are usually a harder sell. That being said, I like your car and hope you get close to what you want for it.
  11. Looks good. It does remind me of the Copperhead C10 color, like Mike mentioned.
  12. Very nice, and inspiring when it comes to my 280. Your 280 looked really great to start with. I couldn't agree more on the ginormous 280 bumpers with brackets of doom. While they certainly offer better protection than the 240 bumpers, they're just ugly. The stock bumpers on both 280's I've owned didn't stay on very long.
  13. i'll be at the meet on saturday... and i love what i've seen that you've pc'd on your website. can i bring you a set of chevy v8 valve covers to pc? :D i work 43 to 50 hours per week on average.
  14. Those aren't disc brakes. The drums are just removed.
  15. Yeah, i saw that on ebay... It's just stock suspension. I'm sure they have no clue why no one is bidding on it.
  16. My 240 has no heat, defroster, nor a/c. My 280 has a fan, but it only blows through the center vents. My 260 has heat and defrost, but no a/c. I use my 280 for daily driving. The 240 is more of a weekend car. The 260 will be getting a/c by the end of the year... and will probably be the daily driver at that point. Atlanta humidity is the horrid.
  17. Enjoy your trip! I've been twice and was tempted to not come back either time:mrgreen:
  18. Wow, that's pretty cool. I didn't know they were doing ls2's in those either. I didn't care for trailblazers before, but now I'm interested...
  19. I've always loved 510's and have been very interested in the wagons in recent years. They are rare on the east coast, for sure. Good luck with the trip!
  20. The pictures on the MSA website are pretty good: http://www.thezstore.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=50-1450G&Category_Code=7RS Pics:
