  1. Great work and great progress! Subscribed.
  2. Looks great! Love the green Z's and also partial to an early 260. Windshields are definitely not fun, mostly because the trim in the seal is a pain. What are the specs on your rotas and tires?
  3. It's in his build thread: http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/95937-78-datsun-280z-53-build/page-18?do=findComment&comment=1052046 I had noted this a few months back and saved it as a favorite.
  4. Saw these seats today in BrandenZ's car and absolutely love them. Great fit. I'll definitely get a set of these for one of my projects.
  5. I wouldn't at all be surprised if nothing happened.
  6. This thread is from 2009... and it looks like the user hasn't been back since then, as well.
  7. You need spacers, particularly on the front. On the rears, it's possible to go +10 without spacers, but don't think you can go more than that. You'll need longer studs, too.
  8. That sounds about right. My oil pan is below the cross member, but my exhaust lower than the pan. I'm not usint an LT1 (yet), but my 260 has an early sbc with JTR kit and 5qt Milodon pan. Little hard to tell in this pic, though:
  9. That doesn't just look like "some rust". I hate to say it, but I would consider that a lost cause. That rust has destroyed your frame rails. And that level of rust at the frame rails would have me seriously concerned about the rest of the car. What are the floors like behind/under the seats/carpet? How are the rockers? Dog legs? Anything can be fixed, but it will be costly to do it right, especially if you're paying someone else to do it. Here's Pete Paraska's site where he replaced his frame rails and also found rust issues elsewhere on his car: http://alteredz.com/structuralmods.htm If you're going to take on this project or pay to have someone do it, do it like Pete did. And be prepared to find more than you're expecting that needs repair. Otherwise, look for another body in better condition and be very attentive to areas like frame rails, rockers, quarter panels, and floors.
  10. Normal backspacing for an 8" wheel with 0 offset is 4.5".
  11. 16x8 +10 Rota's with 225/50 on front and 225/55 on rear. 7mm spacers on the front, no spacers on the rear.

  13. For springs, Suspension Techniques is a good alternative.
  14. Not mine, but seems to be a good price: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/pts/3621232206.html
  15. I think I have a complete set, Tim. I'll check tonight to confirm.
  16. It's a good time to add the not well-named bumpsteer spacers: http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/PSDC11/23-4186
  17. Dudeboy has Corbeau's in his 280 that I believe he just bolted in with the 280 brackets without any fuss. You might ping him to confirm.
  18. There are no bolt heads as such on a front 240z bumper. The bumper brackets attach to studs on the back sides of the bumpers. There are holes for the rubber strips and bumper guards on factory 240 bumbers. Those can be filled in. The Euro bumpers don't have the holes for the rubber strips, but do have holes for the bumper guards.
