HOT ROD tricks... side view mirror door latch mod
Sparky replied to JaysZ's topic in Miscellaneous Tech
here is a good start, http://www.watsons-streetworks.com/entry_systems.html http://www.watsons-streetworks.com/entry_system_tip1.html the name of this kit is the "StreetWorks MagTech Magnet Entry System" its been a while since i've been into customs rods and what not....but most of the kits are advertised in custom rodder or rodz magazine. anywho...hope this helps! -
I have a VLSD along with the stub axles that go along with it from a s14 silvia... BUT, I have not done anything with it! Hopefully this thread will yield some good info, and I will be able to post what I find in the next few months. Im looking at using the 240SX CV joints as well...but know that I will have to have them shortened. so many challenges......will be overcome.

HOT ROD tricks... side view mirror door latch mod

you can also get a magnet sensor that triggers your solenoids. you just carry around a small magnet on your key chain, run it over the "secret" spot on the outside of your car and bam...doors open. seems less complicated that rigging up some sort of cable, or pull system that may break or snap or bind at anytime. -
Dear Mike, I -Heart- work wheels, just so you know.

Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator users please help quick..
Sparky replied to a topic in Turbo / Supercharger
yours has dual inlets at -10, the other is single inlet at -6. Im also running that same regulator (-6). no problems yet..although I did have the adjustment jamb nut come lose and drop my FP down do 15PSI. my car was running like arse needless to say.....sooo just check the adjuster every once in a while. -
sweet, I too had a honda but it was the N600 sedan. Too bad It never ran! but it sparked my passion for tiny vehicles. One day I will build the N600 I was dreaming about so many years ago. that little car looks really fun actually.....What are the specs.

go for it! How old are your kids? This is a good opp that every member of your family should benefit from. chances are, the Zcar may just as well outlive all of us...so take the time to go somewhere new and exciting...the Z car isnt going anywhere. Depending on how old your kids are, this may be a perfect time for them to absorb a new language. Mandarin is the most spoken language in the world and the demand for employees that can speak it is the highest its ever been. (Although H.K. is Cantonese right? still though the local schools should teach both.) An opp that you and your family will never forget. this is my opinion though, and I have no idea what its like to up and move everything across the world.... -
Have a happy B-day Dan!

Finally! My car is back from paint jail...2.5 years later..
Sparky replied to Sparky's topic in Non Tech Board
Nah that's cool, I didnt take it that way Well, I'm just happy to get the car back. when i dropped it off I was expecting it to be perfect in everyway....but my patience ran out and I just wanted the car back...like I said...its going to be a daily driver and I dont want to be afraid to drive it, or cringe everytime I take it down to road or leave it parked downtown (I live in a not so good part of downtown S.A.) Yup, I will ask him next week....but given the fact that our relationship is falling apart, Im sure he will say that its not thick enough to wetsand. I've done some wetsanding before and have all the necessary supplies....its just a matter of making the decision to break out the abrasives or not.....we shall see Thanks Mike, I seriously doubt Ill beat your car....you've gone programmable right? if so I dont stand a chance give me until the end of the summer though and I might have a chance....... thanks for the compliments everyone! its nice to be back in the saddle again! -
Alex, Kick ***! I went to four bookstores searching for the mag and finally nabbed the last one! damn it looks sweet, the car looks great, must have had a good photographer (or maybe its just that early Zs are so purdy, they're just naturally photogenic(like me! How long did it take to get that dash in there? it looks really good and its something that I've been contemplating for some time now. Wish I could see it at MSA next weekend......maybe some day. laterZ

well, my painter already spent some time sanding and buffing, but since i pissed him off he told me that "thats as good as I'm going to get it, I just want it out of my shop." (ooopS) I've spent some time looking at it and debating on whether or not I'm going to spend some of my own time buffing it but decided that since this will be a daily driver, the last thing I need to do is put alot of time into wetsanding it, only to have it get all scratched and nicked up anyway. the pictures don't really do the paint job justice as the orange peel really isn't that bad, only the owner, or other painter gearheads will notice. I'm not crazy ecstatic about the paint job, but for what I've paid, I'm satisfied with it. The only thing I'm really happy about is getting the car back....Cant wait to hear the woooshhhhh-psssssss.... -

Damn that sucks...I've always thought that your S30 was one of the cleanest G-nose cars out there! but hey atleast you get to keep the car and have all the body stuff done, hopefully it wont take that long to get all that stuff done. state farm rocks BTW... I will be getting full coverage on my 240Z in the next few months, can I ask if it was an agreed value, or appraised value? did you have to provide receipts when you made the claim......would you be willing to PM me your monthly rate?

You could use the old griffen Datsun logo and just put a snake in his mouth...little stickers on cars..like a secret club...you could even have a secret handshake. -
Yet another car thats on my list... My grandfather had a 914-6 for around 10 years...one day it stopped running, and like all his other cars that stopped running, he just let it sit under a pine tree in west palm beach FL. 4 years later the engine rotted out from the bottom of the car. It sat for another two years until he had it towed away. damn I would have loved to drive that car. but anyway. I look forward to seeing more pics of your car and progress updates. That thing will be a handful fur-shur.

Well, Some of you may or may not remember that fact that my car went into paint some time ago just after the 02 convention that was here in san antonio. I dropped the car off at a small time shop (only one guy working and running it) and was told that it would be back to me in 3-6 months. well...it turned into an incredible ordeal and ended finally with my having to be a jerk to someone that I would consider a friend....I'm in the process of re-assembly and look forward to being an active member of hybridz once again! YES YES YES!!!!! oh...and yall dont get full pictures yet....just little samples....muhahaha! more to come in the next few weeks!

Tim, Would there be anyway to make a run of the transfers, but at half size? I love the new logo and would love to support the site, but I also want to keep my car kinda low key. just wondering.
