  1. Tim, I think your spot on. Funny thing is the guy does great work. Did a beutiful job on my NA motor. So I will leave it with him. I know if I call him every week it will get done. Its when you dont call it sits. The squeaky wheel gets the oil.
  2. Ya NOS, thats frightening. It already has 130 HP and weighs less than 400 lbs. It scares me just like it is. (for now) muh hahahah BTW Called the machine shop, says it will be ready next week, I am not counting on it..
  3. The part has been done, still have not gotten my block back from the machine shop (note to self - call machine shop) So, has not run yet. Also, I bought a new bike and have been spending time on that instead of my car. Will be back on the car real soon as I am now happy with my bike
  4. So does this mean all of these versions are JDM, or are people just confusing them because they all look similar?
  5. So What's with the JDM valve covers I hear people talking about. I have seen 3 different ones that are all called JDM. This one with Nissan Logo, I think in smaller letters This one with Nissan letters larger and more blocky (mine, I found in a US junk yard on a 280z) An one more I have seen with Nissan logo but made from plastic. Does anybody know the correct story??
  6. No, Nothing new. I got it to the point where I need to get some temporary guides and seats in one chamber and flow test it to see if it is worth finishing. I have not been working on my turbo car much since I got my bike. The NA motor has been running strong. I will be getting back on it after the first of the year and things slow down. I'll keep you posted when I move on with it. MONZTER
  7. I got some liquid nitrogen from the welding store. Put it on and the metal and tar shrink at a different rate. It literally fall off. Did it on mine to all of the factory coating on the inside of the car.
  8. Yep 14x1.5, I had a custom left-hand tap made, as it was not available anywhere. So one side is right hand threads, and one side is left hand threads, anybody know why there are left-hand threads? What would happen if you used right hand threads on both sides?
  9. Why do you need an idle screw if you are using an IAC unit? Wont you set the rough idle with the butterflies, and then let the IAC do it thing.

  13. Hi Guys, I moved mine back as far as I could without removing the hood latch, or having to cut up the car. My purpose was not for weight distribution, but to make more room for the cold air intake, radiator fans/balancer, and to smooth out the bends to the turbo and intercooler. 3/4 was the max I wanted to go, which was enough for my needs mentioned above.
