Hey Cyrus, I'm first in line when you decide to sell your Z after you finish the swap just like Tim. Then I won't have to do one after all. The car is looking great. Get that thing moving.
More updated pics. The first one shows the car with the hood back on. The second one shows the engine bay and it looks like the wiring and IC tubing are in place.
Here are some new pictures from Cyrus. With keeping the AC and that huge IC, it looks like air is going to have trouble getting to the radiator. Let us know if it runs cool when you get it running. The intake and turbo plumbing are looking good.
A flame may be seen only on vehicles without catalytic converters. The system may damage catalytic converters on cars that have one though, which would be ok on our Zs.
Actually Porschephile, this is Cyrus' swap. I have just been posting the pictures for him but I will be doing a swap on my 240Z and am seriously contemplating using the 2JZ-GTE. I do agree though, the swap is looking really good up to this point.
I have the steering wheel of the GNZ and would take a picture of it installed on my Z, even though it has no drivetrain, but my digital camera is broken. I am trying to fix it though, but yeah long live the GNZ.
Yeah... you can do that to your car, but it still wouldn't be as SWEET as my 87 IROC.
He thinks that 90 mph is really fast, most of us do that on the freeway on-ramp.
Here are some pics of the IC and Griffin radiator/fan in the car. That IC is huge...must've depleated our aluminum reserves building that sucker. Lookin good Cyrus. When you planning to start it up, and take a vid when you do.
