  1. Btw here are some sneek peek pictures of some changes I have been working on. (sorry for the dirty car pictures, need to wax it soon). Once I get it all button up, ill take better pictures.
  2. Me and only me. Age means nothing when restoring/modifying. You just need to want it bad enough and go after it.
  3. Thanks guys. I hope to be still on this forum in another 21 years too (and ill probobly still be as rebilistic as I am now. )
  4. My dad was "religious" when it comes to vehicle maintenance and care. Nice choice of words.
  5. Awesome. Ill order mine soon. Do they have adapters for 280zx master cyl? Didnt see it on there. Maybe im blind (btw sorry to hijack your thread a little). Kinda on topic though.
  6. Been looking for a bleeder lately. Mind if I ask which one you bought? Was it the Round Universal Bleeder 0101
  7. Dont buy from black dragon. By far the worst company out there. And none of it fits right. You will get ignored when you call back. Kept getting same story that they would call me back (multiple times). Dont waste your money on this trashy company with trashy parts. Look somewhere else. I ended up buying a kit from ebay. Works well and fits better then the expensive trash that shitty dragon sent me.
  8. I dont like to leave threads "open ended" so just wanted to post what I ended up doing. I ended up buying new studs for a camaro (1.5). Ill try and sell the 1.25 lug nuts. I figure better be safe then sorry. Anywho I also compared the studs, and its no wonder the h&rs didnt seat well. The actual "seat area" on the stud is almost half that of a stock stud. Looking and the arp stud, i noticed that the seating area on those is a little better then stock. Over all I feel alot more confident this time around. Now I just need to reorder studs.
  9. Non-egr intake manifold needed. Pm me with reasonable prices. Willing to pay more for cleaner parts but if the price is right willing to clean/polish/powdercoat it myself.
  10. Subscribed. Unfortunately i have this same problem and always have since I got the car. Switched out everything as well. Nothing.
  11. I would appreciate that. I sent you a pm.
  12. NZeder : Are those lights you posted about the right size to fit in the map light area? Because thats genius. I would love to do something similar. Now YOU have to post pictures. This thread pretty much solved most gauge problems with our cars. Good job people.
  13. Theres weren't really any issues with the 240sx dash issues. I eventually went back and fiberglassed it to get it to fit "perfectly" (especially around the cut edges). Unfortunatly I really missed my "old cars" original interior. I ended up selling the fiberglass version of the dash + getting an old 280z dash. So I have since converted back to the 280z dash. This dash has been stictched with black suede and white stitches. Center console as well. Lately I have been consiedering selling this dash as well and going in a diffrent direction. Anywho this thread is pretty old. The car looks alot diffrent now. Lower, bigger + wider wheels, rear disk conversion, new suede interior, sound deadening, new seats. Just need to get it all in one piece again. Pretty much just waiting for Justins group buy on the control arms. Other than that the car is pretty set for the road again. Alot of my time recently has been going to my other 280z though. I'll update this thread soon with pictures.
  14. Thanks guys. I didn't quit (unfortunately thats not the kind of person I am ). Anywho the problem was just a blown fuse. Not really sure how it blew. Anywho the car runs and idles rough. I have the wideband in the car. Im gona try to tune it myself. If not, Ill try to find a shop in the area that can do it for me (school starts this week so i wont have time ). Thanks for the help guys. Ill keep this thread alive as the car gets a little better to drive and post my msq file to help others.
  15. Great. Now the car wont start. Did some testing and i now find that 2 of the 12v have no voltage on the relay board. Im really starting to think megasquirt is trash. over it for tonight.
  16. Would you be intrested in doing this for someone else? If so how much. I would send you mine.
  17. How did he do that? I read that, that happened to someone on h&r studs when the tire shop had the air gun set the 110 . Snap them all. Im pretty sure it should be kept in the 80s range. The camaro route is one im trying to avoid because of my ridiculously expensive lug nuts that I already have and cant return. Anyone personally use the nismo studs on a 280z?
  18. I just recently got new wheels for the ls1 car. I needed to get spacers so i figured I would go with H&R spacers + longer studs that came with them. Apprently those are no good. I had done some hw on them and people had striped in them the hubs and snapped them in the sx community. I figured i would get them pressed in and see myself. Well The machine shop pressed out the old ones and put the new ones in. And they were right. I can already shake most studs loose by hand. And this was from just from the car being rolled in and out of the garge (so thank god nothing happened). But i do want to ditch these studs asap. I know the common thing is to use quest lug studs. But these will not be long enough for me. (using 20mm in the front and 15mm in the rear i believe). I would like to get longer ones. Anywho I know that best route would be to ditch the 1.25 pitch as well. But I already bought some expensive lugnuts that are 1.25 that I can not return. I was considing Nismo wheel studs. I have heard good things and they are very close in kurl diameter (search tells me I need 12.90 kurl diameter). These are 13mm. Could I give these to the machine shop to press in? Would these work? Would they be safe? Anyone used them? Link to studs I am looking at (would need to buy two sets). http://www.frsport.com/Nismo-40222-RS025-60mm-Extended-Wheel-Studs-240SX-S13--F-R--S14--R-_p_7862.html Thanks.
  19. Thanks. I ended up solving it myself. Im now in the tuning part. I will keep they're number however. You going to be at msa this year?
  20. Nope. Not in there. It really wasn't in that big of a part anyway. oh well.
  21. That is gona be a blast to drive. Great job.
  22. Btw. My red car has these strips on the roof. It will always be there if not fixed.
  23. Id prefer not to know. It is a great show though. Wonder if the Americans will be able to pull off a similar show.
  24. Thats a great idea. I might have to look into that.
  25. Well the only time my car will idle is if fuel is set at 20. I know that's not where it should be. But now the car turns on the first time every time. Just wont stay on. Here is a copy of the msq file. I will try to install a wide band today. zmanco2009_1_20_09_startup_WUE.zip
