  1. Well, we shot Thursday and Friday. Although it a little overrated, it was a good experience. Meet alot of cool people (not to mention gourgous ladies) It did really opened my eyes to the movie business though. In my opinion, we give movie makers way to much credit. Most of the time the crew weren't very pleasant. And they really don't know sh*t about cars. It was pretty fun though (besides the fact i had to let people lean on aziza). There was one actor, forgot his name, whos suppose to be a drug dealer working with vin. This guy is huge. His arm was probobly the size of my damn thigh. Anywho he though when the camera was off it would be ok to lean on my z. So i go over there (btw this guy has like a foot on me and at least 100lbs). And politly tell him that he cant lean on my car. He gets up and is ok about it. It was funny cause some people thought I should have left him. Yea right. Anywho they didn't even move our cars though. So much for race scene i guess. They were just parked them. I'm in some scene were there are a couple of cars racing by the beach, and im pumping gas in aziza (part of the dumb story line). Mike has his own scene were Vin and some drug dealers are talking. Funny story: Vin thought it would be ok during the time the camera was off to sit on Mikes car. Mike got a pic on his cell phone. Pretty funny. I guess its just a common thing for actors to have no respect for cars (or anything for that matter). Although it was a good experience, if they call me back, i wont be going without a significant up in pay. Its not worth going from 4.30pm to 6am to get treated like crap. Plus our z cars are all over that scene so they should have really treated us a little better. Its all good though. Heres some pics. Paul Walkers personal car Vin and Michelle (alot hotter in person btw) Method Mans Lambo (he managed to stall it while leaving:hs:)
  2. You forgot to mention they are ugly.
  3. Sorry the pics are huge. It helps see what im talking about a little better anyway.
  4. Something to consider. Ive noticed that when cars are sandblasted, it takes away they;re subtle lines and edges. Although its not noticeable at first. When you have two cars side by side you can tell the edges and lines of the sand blasted car are.....flatish (i guess thats the word for it). It does make things easier, but maybe acid dipping the car would be another thing to consider. It does the same thing but without the abrasive changes. Oh and if you do either method be ready to find some things you didn't know were there. Heres what i mean. My little surprise. Anyway, look above all that crap on the actual line of the car.The lines above the damage is the dullness of the lines i speak of. (BTW that white car is aziza, the z in my signature, believe it or not)
  5. Damn. Well regardless, I will look into it. From the looks of it the Techno toy rods look like they don't use bushings. Is this correct? Anyone running them on the street? Are they harsh(transmit road noise, etc??) Sorry for the thread high jacking. Its sorta on topic still.
  6. Do you know how it broke thou? Was it in a hard turn, auto cross, daily?
  7. This is scary stuff to read. I got poly bushings, and have you seen the way the ls1 mounts are? They use that bolt on the end of the tie rod. Might have to pick up a set of those techno toy ones myself after hearing this.
  8. Thank god for that. Hate to sound cocky but i like the look of my car right now, and I don't think they will be dumb enough to want to change the look either. Then again they do want us to wear Hawaiian shirts and look like a bunch of goofs......
  9. I bought cvs already. I was going to install them but I think im going to wait until I can get adjustable lower control arms as well. That seems like a decent solution.
  10. So what was the bear driving when it "pulled out"?
  11. I hope they have more faith in an ls1 powered z than that. I was thinking more, porsche, ferrari, or some sort of muscle car. (the dent doesn't make it feel slower haha)
  12. Heres the other z car that will be there. STROKER MOTOR!! Its Mikes (mike321go)
  13. Alright. well its official. Tomorrow Mike (mike321go) and I will both be at the shoot tommrow with both of our z cars. We were called last week and just got some details tonight. Im not really allowed to say where it is but its in the LA area. OH and its confirmed on that whole Dominican republic scene thing. Ever wonder why people wear the most ridiculous things on this movie series? turns out thats what they want. Instructions are to wear beach things (shorts, sandals, white Ts. Hawaiian t shirts, yes i said Hawaiian t shirts!!!). I wont be caught dead in a Hawaiian shirt so i got to think of something else (its being shot in the freezing cold btw, 5pm to 6am!!!). We will be driving our cars and we both will also be in the movie. All I know is that they said our cars would not just be parked (thank god). Should be fun. Oh and the car is still damaged. Im just gona show up. Looks better in the dark anyway. See that reflection in the front fender? Thats not a reflection, thats a fold in the metal.
  14. Like i said in the last thread. Id rock one.
  15. I feel the same way. I dd the z everyday. Love it. Sure, it now takes about $65 to fill. But it always makes me smile when i start it and alarms in the area go off. oh and not to mention 3rd gear is ridiculously entertaining.

  17. I have nothing useful to say but i think that project is awesome. Turbo benz. Genius. :icon14::icon14::icon14:
  18. How low have you dropped your car?
  19. I'm running 3" from the the headers, into a y pipe then 3.5" all the way back. I'm pretty pleased with the tone and clearance on mine. Ground clearance may be an issue with 4".
  20. HAHA. Oh my god that guy has sick talent.
