  1. Drove her to work...going to be one of my last drives for a while while i install the haltech
  2. In case anyone else ever has the same question, Haltech Support confirmed for me that the 280ZX wheel limits you to distributor ignition and multi-point injection with the haltech ecu's. If you want to run wasted spark, direct fire, semi-seq, seq (depending on 500/1000 or 2000 ECU), the VG30 wheel is needed otherwise. Also for wiring up the 280ZX CAS: Edit 7/10/13 -- Just adding this bit, while the Haltech email explains which wires to use in their harness with the 280ZX CAS, I wasnt sure which wires from the CAS carries which signal (Home vs Trigger). Chemicalblue helped me out with this bit last night (THANK YOU!). The factory CAS has 4 wires, Black (GND), Red (12V), White and Green. The Haltech Trigger wire will go to the CAS Green wire; the Haltech Home wire will go to the CAS White wire. I'll confirm this once I have everything in the car, but ChemicalBlue has his car up and running this way.
  3. Some more info, in case anyone else ever needs it. Asked Haltech Support about how to wire in the CAS, and this is how they explained it: So only using 4 wires total, but using 1 wire from the home bundle. Thanks to Ian for getting me on the right track and for the other info! G'Luck with your build!
  4. Dont think its in the archives, but its in this forum http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/112346-nissan-project-370z-vs-1970-datsun-240z-with-rb26-track-battle/ Awesome vid though for anyone that missed it the first time around, a worthy repost methinks!
  5. Thank you Ian!! just what i needed!
  6. OZZ240, did you use the stock CAS? The only bit of wiring Im not positive about is how to wire up the trigger and home wire bundles. Each bundle has 4 wires, so a total of 8 (Trigger 12v SW, GRND, Trigger -, Trigger +)(Home 12v SW, GRND, Home -, Home +) , but the stock CAS just has 4. I've already picked up a Z31 chopper wheel, I'm just not sure how to wire up the CAS. Any insight? Thanks,
  7. love the color -- any engine bay shots?
  8. Hey JSM, tried to PM you but think your inbox might be full, says you cant receive PMs. But saw you had a Z31 chopper wheel for sale at one point. Do you still happen to have one? Thanks, Ryan
  9. Like the title says, I'm looking for a Z31 chopper wheel. Please let me know if you have one you can sell. Thanks, Ryan
  10. For those of you running either PS 500,1000 or 2000 are any of you running the stock CAS and dizzy? Am i understanding correctly that the 280ZX chopper wheel will work, but only in batch fire? And to run semi sequential a Z31 wheel is needed due to the larger slot to be used as a home signal? Has anyone tried using DIYautotune's 12-1 chopper wheel with Haltech?
  11. Wanna double your money right now??? lol Nice score
  12. Went ahead and pulled the trigger on the PS500, should be here Monday. Then its just figuring out when to do the install.
  13. Such an awesome road, nothing like that here Car sounds great man!
  14. LOL! Thanks for the quick reply last week! Looking forward to seeing the finished product
  15. Anyone happen to know the lengths to order if you want to route the wires around the head like the Datsun Spirit wires, rather than over the valve cover?
  16. Me? next up is pulling the stock efi out, debating b/t ms3 or haltech, but leaning towards the haltech right now. As soon as my pallnet fuel rail gets here, ill decide and buy one or the other.
  17. Thanks, kind of a cool local show, little bit of everything. I should have taken more pics Thanks man! I was waiting around for the 50/50 raffle, def wasnt expecting to win anything for the show ha. Always good to hear a Datsun get some love though Thanks!
  18. 2nd Annual Tioga Car Show was this last weekend (http://www.tiogacarshow.com/), little bit of everything, exotics, classics, muscle cars, bikes, etc. Local show benefiting the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation Think the final count was over 180 cars and over 5,000 spectators. Not a huge show, but organizers did a decent job, should continue to grow each year. Only took the camera out early on, so i didnt get everything, but heres a few highlights GT72Datsun's 510 racecar GT72Datsun's '71 240Z, has an old school Turbo Tom setup Our cars 70 and 72 911s 69 911 and its younger counterpart in the background (mini inbetween ) 383 and C4 running gear underneath black, black or black?
