  1. On to the final stages of my build and wondering if anyone has pics of their exhaust with a 4L60E? I plan on using dual 2.5". Welding the v-band and intial 90's tomorrow.
  2. Yeah, I will be doing rear discs eventually, probably from Silver Mine. Unfortunately (not really but you know what I'm saying) the engine ain't coming back out for a while. Thanks, it was in pretty good shape to begin with. I'm going to redo the factory harness to clean it up a bit further.
  3. The camber plates and coilovers are from T3, also just got their TC rods as well.
  4. I've got a small collection of pics so I thought I'd post up a thread on the progress of my swap. I'm not in a hurry and kinda want to do this right, so I'm taking my time. Anywho, the details. I got the engine from my brother who runs a salvage yard. It came out of a 99 TA with a bad transmission. I got the computer, harness and all the accesories, etc. I cleaned the engine like crazy, replaced all the gaskets, water pump, oil pump, timing chain, valley cover (LS6), plugs, wires, etc. I also painted or powder coated everything that came off. My business neighbor is a long time trans shop and they rebuilt me a 4L60E which is what the TA had. Attached are pics of the work thus far, they tell a better story. They should be in some kinda order, from start to where I am. After pulling the engine I welded up some holes (helps that this is me www.johnbecksteel.com, so I've got the tools), removed some brackets and sprayed a tasty coat of paint.
  5. There was confusion. When I bought my Hawk's mounts Bruce wasn't even sure if they would work with the JTR headers. Passenger header side is the problem. While the Hawk's headers ain't cheap (compared to JTR's) they would probably be better in the long run overall. I like the Hawk's mounts WAY more than JCI's.
  6. I know I had this info at one time but can't find it to save my life. Which heater core fitting, top or bottom goes to which fitting at the LS1 waterpump. Does the 3/4" go to top fitting at firewall or bottom? Thanks.
  7. Im putting mine (99 LS1 ECU) in the passenger floor and building a footrest similar to what Singer Porsche does here: http://singervehicledesign.com/gallery/the-machines/brooklyn/#prettyPhoto[gallery]/72/
  8. Jackpot. Cheaper than running all braided and new fittings. WHEW, thanks! http://www.jegs.com/i/Earl%27s/361/AT165156/10002/-1?CAWELAID=1710722733&CAGPSPN=pla&catargetid=230006180000848550&cadevice=c&gclid=CL_vxMe4psICFc1i7Aod_1gAjA
  9. How did you get from the radiator to the -6AN? Going to see if they make this in a female -6AN, I'm planning on welding a male -6AN to the trans. And while I'm at it who uses a damn M12x1.25?
  10. They do, but they are indeed m12x1.25. I genuine PITA. I think I'll just cut them off and -6AN's welded on.
  11. So I'm swapping a LS1 into my 75 and using a Champion Radiator. Does anyone know where to find fittings for the trans cooler inlet and outlet fittings? Champion says they are M12x1.25 (male flared) but are impossible to find. Even Champion has no idea where to get them. Thanks!
  12. I've got all the clutch bits if need them (pedal, slave cylinder, lines). They came out of my 75 when I put a 4L60E in. Maybe work a partial trade if the parts will work.
  13. The "Made in Korea" stamp and super thin material prompted me to replace mine with one from Energy Suspension.
  14. I have one that's on my pulled engine (LS1 swap), 97, XXX miles and I'll send everything that's in it. It's still on the motor. I have video of it running if needed. Here is my CL listing before I decided to part it out. http://stlouis.craigslist.org/pts/4647854938.html
  15. 2x2x065 is way common. If you are having trouble finding it try Alro Steel, they are nationwide.
  16. Also the shunt has 2 wires that go to the fuel / amp gauge and 2 wires that go to the light switch and volt reg. I no longer have the OEM amp / fuel gauge or voltage regulator and I'm swapping in a LS1. Is there a way to bypass the shunt?
  17. I have a 75 with only 2 fusible links, not four. Can I use one of the attached for each fusible link? Not sure why I need to use the typical four fuse model with seperate power feed. Can I not wire these exactly as the 2 fusible links are currently?
  18. Not a maintenance issue, but a issue none the less when burning rubber!
  19. This guy has had alot of local success. He may be able to shed some light. https://www.facebook.com/DSX.Tuning/info
  20. Anyone weld in the JCI mounts? I know they bolt in but wondering if there are any pros to welding as well as bolting?
