  1. Anyone know where I can score a longer crank bolt? I need an extra 5mm for trigger wheel mount.
  2. I'm not sure how I wound up with it. I think it may have come with my wideband. BTW madkaw I just intsalled a new Champion radiator with dual 10" Perma Cool fans. Had to make room for the sensor and the trigger wheel!
  3. So I found this 20ga wire that appears to be shielded. Is this acceptable to use between EDIS and the VR sensor? If so I figured I'd solder everything then strip some of the shielding, cover the joints and then heat shrink. Reasonable?
  4. I Is the sun shining or is that super sanitary Z creating it's own light?
  5. for 40G's he could have at least vacuumed the floor!
  6. Revised. KISS. Aluminum one piece now.
  7. I think we talked about this. Let me know when you're in next and I'll bring the car down. I'm about 15 minutes away.
  8. Finally getting around to having my trigger wheel mount made. Keeping the factory air as well. This will attached via the crank bolt and the trigger wheel will bolt on through the 4 threaded holes. Still need to switch to electric fans, that's next. Also the outside diameter of 4" will be changed to 3.625".
  9. If that is the case, you show EDIS pins 10, 11 and 12 going to pins 1, 2 and 3 on the coil plug, but the coil plug diagram shows #3 as ASD relay and pin #4 (which you show as 12+) as coil driver 2, not 12V as shown in your diagram. What am I missing?
  10. After finding conflicting info I would to know if anyone can verify if I have the wiring from the EDIS module to the Chrysler coil pack connector. I'm connecting as follows: #10 EDIS pin (yell/blk) to coil pin #2 (gray/red) #11 EDIS pin (yell/wht) to coil pin #4 (blue/gray) #12 EDIS pin (yell/red) to coil pin #1(red/yell) Green/orange from coil plug to 12+, coil pin #3 I have attached a photo of both plugs. Thanks in advance.
  11. 3M makes a masking specifically for that. Can't remember the part number but I have a roll at my shop and can check tomorrow.
  12. Yeah. Hopefully they send the right parts. I talked to a tech who seemed to know what he was talking about. For those interested the 5th ring gear is NIS-5 ($95) and the ring and bearing kit is BK104WS ($159). Hopefully I get the right parts.
  13. Looks like midwesttrans.com solved the problem. New ring gear and brass ring to convert away from the black fiber ring, $105. Yeah!
  14. So my freshly installed early 280ZX five had the common popping out of fifth gear syndrome. So I pull the trans hoping it's the loose main shaft nut issue and what do you know, the nut was tight. Upon further disassembly it turns out my trans guy says it's the fifth gear blocking/fiber ring and slider as picture. Anyone have any idea where I can get these parts new? I really need the fiber ring and the Transtar books says it's no longer available. We may also try the parts of out a similar 4x4, anyone have any experience with any of this non sense?
  15. UPDATE: I just emailed Jeff @ Munssey Speed and Design about making the Star Road style bumper deletes. If you aren't familiar with Jeff he knows his way around fiberglass, CF, etc. You can see a front spoiler he is working on here: http://www.pro-touring.com/threads/103744-Custom-Air-Dam-by-Munssey-Speed-and-Design And on his site here: http://www.munsseyspeedanddesign.com/ He estimated a rough cost of $150 per pair of bumper deletes in fiberglass if we could put a GB together. Not sure about CF. Anyone interested?
  16. My buddy just did this swap, he got his from McMaster-Carr. Congrats on the patience to deal with Fastenal.
  17. Copied the "share" link from YouTube. The magic of the interweb!
