  1. I would get a pump that's rated at high PSI. Some of the 45 psi rated fuel pump doesn't flow good in higher psi. Specially if you get a RRFPR
  2. I think it's worth a try. I would be concern about the bottom end because you'll need to turn the motor more than 7k rpm to get the # like RB26's HP. VE sucks on the SOHC because the valvetrains are so heavy compared with DOHC head. (one large valve vs. two small valves) Just a thought.
  3. I think you got something there. I'll check on that when my car dies. Thanks
  4. I thought that was the problem also but this one is different. The car was driving fine all day yesterday and last month or so but last night while it was idling, it just died. I checked for the spark and no spark, I let the car sit for a minute, try again, cranked right up, than 10 sec later, died. It's not the coil or my MSD box because I was getting spark when I turn on the ignition and when I turn the ignition off. My starter turns everytime and my fuel pressure stays up. I think it might be a bad connection on the tach signal wire (stock negative coil wire) and the MSD wire?? I'm going to try to by-pass it like you got and see if that helps. Thanks again Rick
  5. The oil restrictors restrist oil to the head so the bottomend won't starve for oil. The key holes hold the dowl so the head will line up right during installation.
  6. Hemi head will take alot of ignition advance to get max HP. If it's like Ginken's then over head plugs
  7. Oil restrictors should be ok with .010" shaved. but I don't know about .050"-.060" shaved. If you run a shaved head on top of that, you'll need alot of shims
  8. how are you going to use KA24 pistons with L24 rods and L28 crank? you would need the diesel crank to bring the pistons back up to the deck. -1.37mm deck height with your setup. compression is 7.88 with LD28 crank deck height .63 and compression 9.75 according to L enigne calulator I would say I'll go with more cam. 270/280 range. with 10:1 to 11:1 compression
  9. The ECU needs the pulse to figure out the duty cycle. Man, Rick. I want you to tell me how to hook the MSD box straight to magnetic pick up. My stock ingition set up is crapping out on me. it got me stranded to day. (no spark turn the key oof wait, then spark.) I'm thinking my ignition module is going south on me. Let me know the detail info if you could. Thanks
  10. I'm using the coil trigger wires. But I had to get the tach adapter to crank my car with MSD 6BTM. I got 78 280Z.
  11. I couldn't wait. I got me one 60-1 in T04B with stage III turbine. I think the 60-1 is going to outflow the T04B housing but I guess that's okay, I an always changed the compressor housing later.
  12. I hope mine is going to hit hard BTW, I got that turbo 8)
  13. you can do the styrofoam meltout. Just don't be standing close sniffing the fume
  14. Don't forget, you'll need the matching intake also
  15. I want to know how much the HKS flows. I got one that's little bigger than yours I think (16x10x2.5). But it was flowing enough to support 300RWHP on Lockjaw's car.
  16. I worked at a foundry last year. (I'm in Steel City )
  17. I think you actually need to go with a woodcut model first and get a mold of it with wax then coat it ceramic shell (the sand cating can't get too much fine details and leaves real rough surface) Do your school do Aluminium casting? It's really dangerous Good luck,
  18. Alex, I've been looking for your phone number. I'll give you a call and see if you can give me a good quote on a turbo. You still built turbos right?
  19. probably needs more washers, I've heard of Turbo XS not having enough tension before.
  20. I got me a Apexi turbo timer which had a A/F ratio voltage reading and A/F ratio reading as option. (digital) It's a small unit and you probably need a turbo timer anyway so I think it's a killer deal for a $100 unit. As for the boost gauge, 2 1/16 inch Autometer unit seems to eb popular.
  21. Man, I can wait to ride in that thing.
  22. Just about any Nissan Alt will fit, you need the new style alt connector from 300zx or something and alter the pulley to V groove with a proper thrust bearing and you can make one work. I got a 95 Maxima alt, rated at 125amp. O, if you got teh external voltage regulator, you would need to convert it to internal.
  23. I don't think the intake really limits the HP that much but I think center mount TB like BMW will help the flow some
  24. I'm getting a direct bolt on for sure. I like fabricating but I don't have time or money to do that now. Matter of fact, I think I'm going to order one tomorrow I'll let you know this weekend
