but you failed to mention, that those 2 cars had the 1.2l inline 4 conventry climax engines. they did have small v-8's but only for the formula cars. BUT having one of them IN a car would be pretty awesome.

I think a VW is one of the only cars you can do that too, since the body really only holds the lights, fuel tank, gauges, and support for the steering column. you can (in theory) drive the pan around, with seats and all.

I didn't see it at first, but your engine DOES have the ignitor box at the back of the engine, so i'm going to say, your engine is from an R32/33

There's a really sick VW bug that has a set of 16v heads that still run 8 pushrods and a single cam http://www.araoengineering.com/VWheads.htm 4400 bucks for a pair, a bit steep considering a lot of people have that much in just the engine. The car they have featured on the site is nice though. runs a custom built air/air intercooler, twin turbo, and 4 single barrel mikuni's

Awesome! I'm glad my vinigar idea helped you out! i found out by MISTAKE what happend when you don't clean it off haha (soaked the wire for the water temp sensor and didn't do a good job cleaning it, corroded back to a full green in an hour)

the problem is it is my daily driver once i get it registered it doesn't have a cat (just a resonator) but the cat back kit is a lot cheaper than getting the kit to use the stock manifold.

So, i saw msa had a system for cali cars that replaces the pipe from the cat back i need that section on my car due to the original being CRUSHED but i don't really care about replacing the premuffler how long is the cat compared to the premuffler? because if they're the same length, with the same flange, i should be able to use it. right?

maybe soak it in vinigar, then set it out in the sun without doing more than shaking it off. it'll leave the vinigar mildly on, and the heat/oxygen will keep the process going. I etched my plastic cup accidentally with vinigar by not washing the cup after i dumped out the vinigar.

i've wanted to be an ME ever since...i dunno, i was...10? 12? whenever Junkyard Wars FIRST aired. that got the gears turning in my conscious. sub consciously i've wanted to be an ME since i was like 6. Apparently when i was little, i would always daydream during class (private school with an open learning type method) and i was sitting there playing with walnut shells, and had managed to somehow chip them away into a hinge. With lego's, i would rarely build what was in the instructions even once, and build anything i could, and with k-nex, i would build crazy hands that i could manipulate with my own fingers (this is when i'm like 6 or 7) now i'm constantly modifying paintball guns, and designing outrageous things (like a mutual twin turbine engine, where the exhaust from one powers the intake of the other, it should work, i just need to find big turbos and find a way to machine it) but i'm at a road block. no money for school right now.

a year or two ago, i read in a magazine that tested it to top speed, and that it's top speed is higher than 253, but it actually can go faster, because it's goverened to 253.

there's different types of dragonfruit. some have a white flesh, others a red. some have a yellow skin, others red, others more pinkish. it just depends on the region/cactus i think

if you really want to get ocd, the stripes on the back right (looking at your picture) are also a bit off ^^ oh well, you still have quite a bit of "aging" left to do all over ^^ I like it though. It's coming along quite nicely, and faster than i thought

lookin awesome man. if it was me doing it, you'd see me staring at those pictures of the replicas for HOURS pencil lining the entire guitar to lay out every single stripe and such in the exact positions. i'm so ocd about that kind of stuff.....i wouldn't even be PAINTING it yet because i'd be too busy trying to get the lines marked out perfect XP Kudo's to you for taking such a huge task and making it look amazing.

XP i wanna see some holes in dat quarter. wicked job so far!! i know there's ONE THING that will always keep them being incomplete replica's wood grain. so unless those 25k guitars have the same wood grain, i can't see the justification in the 25k you'd have to drop on it.
