yea and i still have no cash in my paypal that was suppose to be returned to me (refund)....paulo just isnt someone to buy from that simple. It would be great if a mod could give him "the boot" like justin since he cant make quality parts, has no phone number that works (one on site wasnt working a few weeks ago when i tried it), and seems to "avoid" getting things settled.

I still have a red 280z that i bought for some bob sharp parts that i could sell as a shell or with a motor/trans running and driving (shell for $1250) running and driving $2750. Its got stainless brakes all the way around, bigger sway bars(front and back), as well as aftermarket shocks and springs, also has black interior which is close to all there if not all there...it has minimal body rust (small patch on door and fender, and on hole in passenger floor) but i drove it daily before pulling the old motor/trans setup in it last week...let me know if you're interested.I am in dallas but i might be able to meet (if you buy it running) or deliver it for a fee if you'd like. -Jeff

Buiolding a Turbo car for a Customer
sticky280zx replied to TONY C's topic in S30 Series - 240z, 260z, 280z
Just wondering...but what in the hell does that have to do with anything posted? Please take your "just throw a v8 in it" crap back to the proper section and either add something useful next time or dont post at all. Thanks -
Buiolding a Turbo car for a Customer
sticky280zx replied to TONY C's topic in S30 Series - 240z, 260z, 280z
Well let me try and break it down... i normally charge by the day on big stuff... 1-MOTOR pull and install will take a day 2-Rear suspension (shocks/springs/bushings) 3-Front suspension (shocks/springs/bushings) 4-Brakes 5-Locks and Seals 6- Install Seats/mirrors/Get tires 7-Motor rebuild 8-IC Piping/Mounting/Exhaust 9-Fuel system 10-Install Standalone/Tuning 11-Spraying/FINAL DETAILING Thats just a short list not counting parts, tuning going well, if sh!t goes wrong/need something thats out of stock time...etc. And that is 2 weeks worth of work if not 3 working by yourself so if it was me i would be charging around 300-500 a day, because the tuning and such (if you have a dyno in shop or use your trust butt dyno) would normally cost around 500 a day with a tuner, now also if i weld an exhaust/ic setup i normally charge around 250-300 a piece ($5-600 day) but things like suspension are easy to me and that would be why i say easier which would be the $300days. I was like WHAATTTT at a couple of quotes from the guys above (obviously 50-60 is rediculous) but after you start adding it up it would be from 6-10k i would say. Edit- i forgot about having to drive it to him so add another day and then a plane or bus ticket...so i would say in the 8-12k range woul be more like it. -
Yes it can and i think personally it performs better, instead of the super low 7-3-1 set up you have a higher comp ratio to make up for the "out of boost" performance as well as you dont need to/cant run as much boost as you would with a turbo block. But rememeber that the bottom end isnt forged like the turbo's, there are alot of pros/cons just be safe and tune it well/meth inject it and you should be alright. Now that ive given you a wealth of knowledge lol how much for you to paint me a car that exact color and make it look oh so sexy? =)

thinking of buy either of these two zs
sticky280zx replied to Edward's topic in S30 Series - 240z, 260z, 280z
Then get something solid and reliable that needs paint and interior work, but has a good drivetrain and clean body. -

obviously youre in cali...check the for sale section here, wingenzero or whatnot has alot better car for around the same price, he even offered to fix it up for the cost of parts/receipts if i wanted to just fly out and drive it back (that says alot about someone to me). Of these cars though, the first car has backdue stuff and in cali they like to salvage the title on those (or so ive seen), it also is a basket-case and auto so its more work to swap to manual. The second car doesnt look as good but im thinking it is probably more solid than the first because newer paint means its had body work and could be full of bondo. The clutch is an easy fix (ive got those down to a 2 hour process on my driveway). Now the sunroof is easy to fix just a new gasket or like i did, take the glass out and get 2-3 tubes of liquid gasket/black silicone and run a THICK bead all the way around (ive never had any more leak issues out of mine now). But it all depends on your plans for the cars, how much you're wanting to spend IN THE END (too often people think more about the purchase price than overall total), and if you HAVE to have one right away....deals do come along, you just have to wait it out sometimes and you will be alot happier in the end. Hope that helps you out. -Jeff -

Since it sounds like you've got a deal going with him/have spoken many times im thinking that you need to get a group buy thread going on those doors. I for one would be interested in them especially if we could get a group buy for say 500 a pair + shipping or something close to that. I cant imagine why the race guys wouldnt be interested and then us regular folks that are tired of the rust and would love to shave some weight as well. -Jeff

Not bagging he's just been vague except that he's unhappy with what he's gotten, which to me sounds like he was vague before and didnt specify it then and now he's got what he's got. Lets be serious... 1. PRICE YOU'RE GOING TO PAY/BE SPECIFIC 2. What do you want? Rebuilt motor, motor from nissan, imported motor? 3. What type of motor...dished, stock bore, flat top, turbo, stroker??? 4. Why dont you have a looksy on ebay, there is a guy in rancho cucamungo or w/e in cali that he just has them rebuilt and sells them with whatever set-up you want.

Im interested in one as well (having the same issues finding/grabbing one). I loved mario kart and 007 on that console but had to get rid of mine forever ago.

I'd tell that bishh to meet me at my place where my GARAGED GTR STAYS EVERY NIGHT lol but really that sucks but like many have said its not in a garage overnight and no wheel locks...might not be bullet proof but atleast makes it a little harder (ofcourse can cause more damage) or theives might vandalize the car since theyre pissed about not getting the wheels off...there's no winning when that happens, I feel sorry for the guy.

Oreilleys gets the nod for me for many reasons....Vatozone doesnt carry crap for z's, including the ngk plugs. Oreilleys carrys the plugs (most of the time in stock) and can get anything i want (thats at the hub or different store) in HOURS if told by 330 its there by 5 and anything after they can have it the next morning instead of it taking days like autozone. Which ofcourse really helps when youre like me any either daily the car (weekend projects 1 at a time) or something breaks/needs replacing/SUPRISE boom, clank, kaput, oh shizz no brakes...etc happens as your driving.
