  1. Here's what I want to know, who owns a Ferrari and an F150? Seriously if I had a Ferrari I sure as hell wouldn't own an F150 for a truck! If I can afford a $200K+ car I can affored a "ballin" truck to match! LOL Guy
  2. Well after atleast a dozen heat up to cool down cylces it still didn't chagnge anything. So I ordered the temp sensor from Jegs on Saturday. It was my 8 year anniversery with my woman yesterday so I obviously couldn't put that sensor in yesterday after work. So tongiht I put the new sensor in and I am happy to say that was the problem. My guage now reads 200-210 after being warmed up and stays in that range while driving! Hope that helps someone! Action video's soon to follow! Guy
  3. Isn't there some kind of "magical lube" on the market for storing engines. It supposed to fog the cylinders or something? I see if I can find it. Either that or I'm just crazy! LOL If it was me I would find someone that I really really trust and have them drive it during the warmer months a few times just to keep everything nice and loose. And then have them put it back on jackstands off the suspension. Then change the fluids when the warmer months come around again. Guy
  4. The only thing I ever liked about Zc*r.com was the "car of the month". It was nice seeing completed projects and the story behind it. I thought it gave great motivation to get your car done and hope to be that car of the month some day. I deffinetly think we need something like that. Waaaay to many nice cars on this site that don't get the spot light they deserve. I'm sure we can figure something out! Guy
  5. Yeah every place I've seen them for $698 offers no shipping charges. My seats, brackets and 1 harness costed $945 if I remember correctly. Guy
  6. What's the point of having an adjustable opti if you can just edit the PCM to control the timing the way you want it to? Not only that but the PCM might actually try to back down the timing if you advance it there?(not sure about this though?) Guy
  7. I got them from http://racing-seats-usa.com/. I ordered them on a Monday and got them on Friday. Oh and don't bother searching for them at a cheaper price, they are $698 for a pair of them. I think there is a price lock on them or something from Corbeau.
  8. Very nice indeed! You picked that motor up for $400! That's a friggin deal! Guy
  9. I just found another program for tuning your VE table which will help with part throttle drivablilty. Its call VEMaster and its free! It adjusts your VE tables up to 3000 rpms for you till you get to the 122-125 BLM's. Looks pretty sweet! http://www.akmcables.com/vemaster.htm I'm going to use it and see how it works out! Guy
  10. Here's another great site with tons of guys that really know what they are doing! http://www.monodax.com/forums/tunercat-obdi-hardware-software/ Guy
  11. I bought it quite a while ago but I think I got it from MSA(www.zcarparts.com). It's an Autopower 4 point rollbar. You have to notch out the fender covers for it to fit but other wise it's not really in the way of anything. The seats fit pretty snug on me around the kidney bolsters and the shoulder area is pretty good too. They really hug me(I'm pretty average sized 6'01 180lbs). Guy
  12. You know Bart I completely forgot to turn the heater on. I probably should do that. Oh and after the car sitting for the last 4 hours the temp gauge still read 170ish! I really doubt it's that hot in the head after 4 hours. LOL I really want to drive it further(just taken it around the block so far) but I would like a temp gauge that works properly! Guy
  13. Now that mine will be back on the road again I am going to apply for custom plates. I only have 2 in mind right now... 1. BOWTYZD or BOWTIZD 2. LT1PWRD Guy
  14. Well I finally got my new seats for my car! They are Corbeau CR1's along with the Corbeau mounting brackets! The seats themselves are VERY nice and they look awesome. They sit a little high for this car but I will make due. I don't think its because of the mounting brackets but more that the seat cushion/bottom is fairly thick which raises you up. I think that if your like 5'9"ish you would be perfect for the height(I'm 6'01").Other than that I love'em! Guy
  15. Well I'm pretty sure its not an airlock and that it's not really getting up to 250*F. Datamaster says its at 209*F at its hottest point. Another thing I noticed today was that the guage went up slower that it was before, so maybe there was an airlock before causing it to shoot up really fast? I ordered the sending unit today so I should get it by Tuesday. I throw that in and see what happens. Its running pretty good otherwise! Got some tuning to do though! Guy
  16. I have that steam pipe connected to my lower radiator hose. I don't have a bleeder in it though. I am beginning to think it's not an airlock and just a bad sensor. I am going to try again to bleed it this afternoon after I get off work, we'll see I guess. The sending unit for the gauge is only $14.00 from jegs(just sucks I have to wait 3-4 days to get it!). Guy
  17. Yeah I still have the bleeder screw in the t-stat housing. I am trying to bleed it right now. It sure does seem like there's air in the system, I just need to get it all out!
  18. Yes I realize this but I am wondering if the header is giving off excess heat and causing a false reading? Guy
  19. I thought for sure I had an airlock but I pulled the T-stat housing and it was full. I'm going to try bleeding it tommorrow with the front of the car jacked up. If that still doesn't work I'm going to ge a new sending unit for the gauge. I know its not really heating up that much because the car isn't over heating(boiling over) and the PCM is only reading 193-195*F when fully warmed up. I really don't what to mess around with moving the sending unit but I will if I have to! Guy
  20. Well I'm working out a few bugs in my car again before I get it back on the road. One of the those bugs is that my Autometer temp gauge shoots up to 250*F pretty quick. The sending unit is in the drivers side head. Do you guys think this is a good spot for it? I could have sworn that's where it was when I had it running 2 years ago but I know I didn't have any issues with that gauge before? I plan on pulling the t-stat housing tommorow and making sure the block is full of coolant(maybe it's air locked?)(I think Bartman had this issue a while back). I just want to make sure the sending unit is in an OK place before I go screwing around with moving it. Guy
  21. Loosen up the motor mount bolts on the block and loosen up the front crossmemeber. The cross member might be just a little cocked and causing this alignment issue. I really doubt they made different ears in the tranny tunnel for a ZXT vs a ZX, it would cost more money for Nissan to do that and I doubt they wanted to spend more money! Or you could just slot your motor mounts... Guy
