    I had a weird dream about driving a show-quality like 97 or so Mustang the other night. I don't know anybody that owns a Mustang or anything. I was like... um, ooook? haha. ALL my car dreams involve not being able to drive properly. Brakes not working well, not being able to drive stick properly, etc. Weird stuff. (never owned a stick, just autos. I'm looking forward to it)

    I just talked to the guy, apparently in 30 days those cars are all destined for the crusher! Not that they're all gems, but it does seem tragic to thin the heard like that. Wish I was close enough to save a few. He's letting them go cheap. EDIT: Whoops, should've refreshed the page before posting. Figures, lol.

    Funny, I'm the other way around. I like dyno numbers (other than tuning) as a sort of spec baseline. Road course circuit times are my benchmarks, 1/4mi don't do much for me. Maybe a run here and there for bragging rights, but other than that... eh.

    Hmm, never seen it. I was just speaking generally, since you're posting a video of yourself blatantly breaking the law. Wondered if there was any liability involved.

    Awesome vids! Loved the rally bits, especially the Manx. M3 Nurb was awesome too, looove the M3 GTR! I don't know what it is about the Maranello, but mmmmmmm I love it!

    Yeah you're probably right, but I'm only going to be on carbs until the end of the summer or so. I'm trying to keep my initial costs down to get this sucker running. That probably would be the thing to do though. EDIT: After a close call of saying screw it and going stock EFI for awhile, I've decided to go ahead and buy the Z therapy kit and have fun with carbs for awhile... maybe even dip into some blow-through turbo action if I get ballsy.

    To be honest these carbs are only sticking around long enough till I can afford megasquirt for my turbo build, at which point I'm switching over to turbo EFI manifolds. I thought these would be a quick fix in the short term, but it's kinda deviating from that idea. I do have some ECU's laying around though... but I lack a EFI wiring harness and the relays so....

    The funny thing is that on that installation diagram, they have the "round top" top portion, but the bottom is completely different than what I have.

    Well crud. I guess I'll take it back then if it's not going to work. Thanks for the heads up. I guess I'll just order the MSA rebuild kits. They're like $40 each or something.

    Just got the carb kit in. I'm not 100% confident these are what I need. The manual says Hitachi SU carb, but they look different. I'll have to take my carbs apart and see if it looks like I have the right kit.

    Well I made some preparatory purchases, stuff I know I'll need. Cost me about $100 for all of it. I'm not so sure that carb rebuild kit is going to work. It looks like a different SU model. I have another thread going to talk about that though. I've also got a deal going to get all the bolts and such I'll need. Hopefully that all comes through before I get back out to the shop.

    Well that was easy. I should've done that days ago. He even thought of some bolts I forgot I needed. Driveshaft bolts, etc. Case closed.

    Made a run to "Fastenal" today to see about picking up some bolts. This is pretty much all they had. Nothing with full threads, no full thread 8mm 1.5's. I think I may make a call to that Z junkyard in big-phil's video and see if he'd ship me the bolts I need.

    Hmmm shoot me a pm next time something big is happening or you head out there. If it's worth the trip I wouldn't mind driving the 2 hours over there to chill awhile! Then again maybe I'll wait till I get my car done

    Shoot, those are the main ones i'm concerned about. What about like Autozone or O'Rileys? Am I just going to have to break down and order a kit? It's starting to look that way.

    Good to know. I'll grab a bulk of various M10X1.5 bolts and nuts. What about from the motor mount into the engine bay mount. The bolt there is smaller...
